deciding the right undergrad school for premed track.

I want to go to medschool after college, and I am having trouble deciding which college to go to.
So here are my narrowed down choices:

1.UC Berkeley
2. UCLA
3. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
4. University of Washington - Seattle

Which school do you think can provide the best premed programs?

I have technically gotten accepted to uiuc and uow as an engineering degree, but I will probably change it.

I have always been passionate about engineering (not good or bad at math tho), physics, and chemistry, but my “dream” job is to practice medicine.

I know that the UC schools have a lot of students who go off to med school, but I also heard that UCB has a really cutthroat atmosphere full of gunners who only care about getting As in their classes.

UIUC and UOW are good engineering schools I think. If I change my major to a natural science, do you think it is “less” worth going to those colleges?

LASTLY, one more question.
Which major do you think I should go for?
I have searched a lot online, and people say to do what I am passionate about.
Well Ideally, I would love to major in chemical or material engineering and successfully go off to medschool.

However, given that the MCAT has changed and that I am not confident to maintain a good GPA with such a degree, I want to know what your opinions are.

Some people say that Biomedical Engineer could be good, but personally, I think that is a weird major. It seems like it is neither something electrical nor biology-related.

Many people go for biology, but I am simply afraid if I will appear way too “conventional”
I know it doesn’t really mean anything, but I am just naturally concerned with the factors that will determine my chance to get accepted to medical school.

What are some good major choices? Biochem, biology, psychology, neuroscience, physics, chemistry, math, bmeE etc.

Thanks for reading such a long question(s)

All 4 of these are nearly equivalent at the undergrad level… they are all flagship publics with fantastic reputations overall and in STEM/engineering. All will equally prepare you well for STEM or med school.

What are the net costs after financial aid? Are you considered in-state for tuition purposes for any of them?

What about environment? UCLA is in a wealthy enclave of one of the largest cities in the US; Berkeley is urban and also close to a cosmopolitan city… Wisconsin is in a small city, but very much considered a fun “college” town… and Illinois is rural.
