Hey!
So, I am a student at Sacred Heart University in the DPT program, so I am an exercise science major now, with a guaranteed spot in their doctorate level physical therapy program...but the school is insanely priced and I'm not completely in love with it. The program, however is safe because of the guaranteed spot...
I applied to UMass Amherst (I am a Mass resident) for the fall semester as a possible transfer student for the kinesiology program. I haven't heard back yet because I applied April11th, but I feel like I have a good shot of being accepted. My mother thinks it is a horrible idea to switch from Sacred Heart to UMass, because they are so different and it would be like downgrading, but I think it's fine. Also, it would be a risk to whether or not I get into a DPT program somewhere else after I receive my bachelors and be left with just a kinesiology degree.
Any advise from someone at either Sacred Heart or UMass?? Or from someone pursuing a career in physical therapy know what is best for me?? I definitely need the advice ! Thanks!!

UMass is an amazing school (esp. for anything science or business related). If anything, you’re upgrading from SHU to UMass.

Can you tell me how UMass is better than Sacred Heart more? I think they are equal, but please tell me more!
