Deciphering schedule?

Well I'm assuming MW means Monday and Wednesday. Does TR mean Tuesday and Thursday or just Thursday? Also, if a class is listed for no hours and no grade is that just like an optional meeting? The class is listed twice, one has the normal 4.0 hours and a blank for the grade, then the other meets on a Friday and has no hours next to it and NG in the grade spot.

SILV is the Silver Building I'm sure, but what is 48CS?

Also, what do WS and CS mean under Course Site?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry if it's a long post with lots of questions.

TR means Tuesday and Thursday. if it is listed for 0 hours, chances are it is prob. a recitation, and not optional.

It's for a science...could that be a lab? Are labs held during regular class time?

ya, it prob is a lab. no they have diff. sessions

48CS is 48 Cooper Square, which is the name and address of the building.
It's mainly an SCPS building, and lots of GSP and a couple of CAS classes meet there. about a 10 minute walk from campus.

WS- means Washington Square
CS- not sure, but maybe Cooper Square?

Thanks everybody. I know this is kind of changing the thread, but how do you go about changing professors? I know its early but I did rate my professor, and some of them don't seem that great. Do you have to wait for an actual class first? My time schedule is great and I wouldn't want to switch that.

if you switch the professors you switch the classes, bc the professors are the one's scheduled for the time slot. so either deal or try and change everything and find that some classes are closed or that everythings just messed up (time-wise).

[im guessing, since im only '10]

as long as we are dechipering abbreviations, what is "194M" and "CANT", listed as buildings where i have classes

thanks

194 Mercer St. and Cantor Film Center (on E. 8th St)

Anyway, how do you go about changing professors. I know one i def. want to change immediately.

As rachel212 said, if you want a different professor, you have to change the class section. To do that, just go to Albert, drop the original class, and put in the course numbe for the new class you want.

Marauder, it could still be a recitation. I have both a recitation and lab listed for two classes (both 0 credits), but I can tell them apart from the meeting times. A good hint? Labs are longer. ;)
