decision but no letter?

i found out my decision online midnight on tuesday (blank line on 2/18) but i still have not gotten my letter... anyone else?

My son has the same thing going on. Hopefully will get the letter soon.

us too, “accepted” but nothing in the mail

@centimeters, did you get in?

Yes, my son was accepted in first wave and no mail yet - He can’t wait to get the package.

Same here. But I live on the west coast, so I’m not suprised.

We leave right outside of Pittsburgh, and still no letter.

Sorry spelling is off today, should be live right outside of Pittsburgh…

I got my decision online before the letter reached me. You just have to be patient, it’s coming!

I was accepted last year. The letter took longer than it should have to get to me from Pittsburgh. I think because of the size they get held up in the Postal system.

Don’t worry… it will get there.

D was accepted on Tues, no letter yet.

When do they send financial aid notifications?

yeah, i got in. i live in NY so i thought it would be here by now… hm

@notan4me: Check your “Where Am I in the Process?” page and it should say at the bottom when they sent a “Financial Aid Notification”. Mine was sent yesterday. I still haven’t got my fat letter yet but I’m in the Midwest so it will probably take a few more days, even though it was sent on the 16th…

also accepted first wave in NY, no letter yet

I’m in the same boat here (accepted in SCS and MCS-math ). I’m in NJ.

My son got a card in the mail: “Carnegie Mellon Roundtrip Ticket” which said “now that you’re admitted, come visit campus.” It is an invitation to the celebration of Diversity Weekend.

This card got his hopes up, he logged on and found that he was waitlisted-not admitted-to his first choice program. (Was admitted to his second choice.)

Disappointed.

And he won’t bring much diversity to the school, so what is up with that?

did anyone else here receive a “Financial Aid Eligibility Letter”?

^on “my cmu” they said they sending it on march 24th. Cept online it said I was waitlisted, so i am not sure whats up with it…

No envelope received here in Texas either. I am beginning to wonder if they were really sent out by the CMU post office. On my D’s status check page it says the decision notification was sent on February 20, 2009. I assume they meant March. Under financial aid awards sent there is just a big blank space. Harvey Mudd also sent out packets on Friday and we got ours on Monday so we were expecting the same with CMU since it’s about the same distance away. We are very anxious to find out about financial awards.

Please post if you actually get an envelope so we will know they went out.

Nothing for me yet in California. Maybe they sent out less on Friday then they actually ended up uploading to the site tuesday?
