decision by mail

just wondering if any1 is going to hold out and learn of their acceptance/rejection by mail? i know it's lame, but i kinda want the whole movie moment of retrieving either a big/small envelope from my mailbox. i just checked my inbox, and i have an email from stanford.........it's very tempting!

Open it!!! You're crazy!!!

no, no... wait! (i'm waiting for the paper decision, as well)

that is too much selfcontrol

I know, I wish I had that kind of discipline.

Dude, if you're rejected you're not getting a letter.

ya that's what i'm gonna do, but i read in another thread that rejected applicants won't be receiving paper applications due to environmental concerns?

They don't send a letter to you if you're rejected

Haha. Yeah, Stanford is so ahead of the times, their "small envelope" has become the "nonexistent envelope."

so i decided to give in and check my inbox, and i got in. :)

congrats
i just went in to it thinking "REJECTION"
i was happy that it wasn't :)

congratulations, adidas20nike!

I paid them seventy bucks. I want them to mail me a flipping letter.

The environment? Psssh. If they really cared about the environment they'd make all their teacher recommendations and school forms online.

My recommendations and school forms were submitted online- CommonApp was testing out a complete online version, and it's pretty nifty, I must say!!
