Decision Date announced for RD. Saturday.

From their website:

The Caltech Undergraduate Admissions Office will release freshman admission decisions via the applicant's online portal the afternoon of March 9, 2013. Applicants will be emailed a notification when decisions are officially available.

It could be several hours more than one day or less than one day… OMG

@anggie, from previous years, they announced around 12, 3 and 6. So not much clue there.

Are those 12, 3, 6 eastern or pacific?

Parent of a high school sophomore here; let’s just say he was quite excited to receive mail from Caltech admissions after taking the PSAT this year.

If it’s not too much to ask, once the decisions come down, anyone who feels like it would you please also post your stats. Thanks so much. Good luck to all.

Snowdog, you’ll find that admissions to Caltech are about much more than stats. When my D went for an overnight event, she met current students with a VERY wide range of test scores. Definitely not indicative of probability of admission, unfortunately. :)

Will it be 12? By email? I can’t breathe!

This year EA, and last year RD/EA were all 12 PM Pacific. So I’m gonna guess it’s 12 PM Pacific this year too. Good luck, everyone!

So. Um. Decisions are out. I’m waitlisted. Anybody got in?

My D was accepted!!! She was deferred to RD from ED.

Congratulations to your daughter carimama!

Carimama, I didn’t know CalTech has ED, I thought it only has EA. Congrats to your daughter.

It was a loooong day for me. Didn’t proof before I submitted. LOL! Yes, EA not ED. She did not apply to any ED schools.

My daughter was accepted. When/how do we find out about financial aid Caltech is offering via the FAFSA application? Tough decison, as my D has 2 free ride offers at State schools. thankx
