Decision Date for Cornell ALS

I heard its in February. Is this true? When in Feb.? First week? Second? Also, does the financial aid and decision come at the same time in Feburary for Cornell ALS? Thanks!!

I heard this too... I believe it says mid February... so around the 15th... Good Luck! What major are you doing? I'm applying to the Business program

as early as then, but don't expect it to show up until the regular date in most cases.

AHHH!!! my brithday is feb 16!! lol

for class of 2009, what was the exact date you found out your admissions decision for RD? (besides agriculture)

A mother whose son applied last year said the rolling decision letters came in spurts and she listed the dates. I can't find her post though.

Is it in random order or based on how early you handed in the app? I submitted the online app of Jan 1.

Also..are rejections / acceptances sent out at the same times?

Agrophobic: random order

Parikhs: no...they're sent out randomly, as I said to agro, in no particular order.

what date did YOU 2009'rs receive your regular decision notification?

banana, ur birthday is feb 10th, are u high?

Sparticus, are you sure they send out rejections early? At my school, all the rejections from the rolling admissions schools were released on the regular decision date of the other schools. I'm just wondering.

not sure...

I think it might be true, but I don't want to give people false information or scare the applicants too much. Well, mainly just the former.

wait a minute...if we applied to als, we hear in feb??? wow, where did they say this???? do we get emails or regular mail or r they gonna post online or what?

and sry, but also, does that mean that they make the decision before they look/view carefully/take into consideration the mid-year report?

If you apply to CALS you may hear as early as february, though usually you won't hear until much later. If they don't have a midyear report, I doubt they would rush to make a decision. Also, in terms of viewing something carefully, I'm pretty sure they only spend a few minutes on each app unless it's borderline. I mean with 24000 applications, 20 minutes an app would amount to well over full 24 hour 300 days (~8000 hours) worth of review.

when you think about, its kind of weird that they only spend 20 minutes on your application. like we put so much time, stress, and effort into them that a 20 minute look-over seems very very minimal. maybe thats just me. obviously theres nothing they can do about that, like you said they have over 24000 apps

nanaijuh, I thought you were accepted ED to JHU?

uhh yea, but i didnt get into the bme major, so its not a binding contract and my dad made me apply to a few other schools. r u appying to jhu?
