<p>TenorMadre = Rice should have sent you login information for Ester when you applied. Ester will allow you to check your status and when decisions are made it will give you the fastest way to see if you’ve been accepted.</p>
<p>One of my friends applied ED to rice this year and he actually found out on esther before email</p>
<p>Geez I’m so nervous! This is going to be one of my last decisions and I’ve been waitlisted so far at the other 2 of my 3 top choices. C’mon Rice, lemme in!!!</p>

<p>gswhoops - they were WashU and Tulane. I thought I would be a shoe-in at Tulane, but they waitlisted a bunch of really well qualified applicants who didn’t show tremendous interest. I think that was my problem too 
I just assumed I would get in.</p>
<p>Just as a note; Rice acceptances are worded a bit strangely. Unless they have changed this, your Esther account or email will say “Your application has been approved” if you have been accepted. Every year a few kids come on here and are uncertain if that means accepted. It does. ;)</p>

<p>LOL really? That can lead to so much confusion though! Does ESTHER have an actual letter or does it just say whether you have been accepted/waitlisted/rejected in one line?</p>
<p>That’s kind of disappointing it’s not anything very enthusiastic haha. “Your application has been approved” sounds so anticlimactic.</p>
<p>anyone have inside info on early release of data. so far 6 of my 9 schools have released early, so I am betting Rice will follow suit!</p>

Rice is my top choice. I love it so much, but I’m restraining myself from going on its website so I don’t fall in love too much! Haha I just want to know!</p>
