So are decisions historically on 4/1?

I think they were released sometime during the last few days of March last year and the year before that.

Well, according to their website, the decisions for regular decision applicants are released on April 1st.

April 1st is a Sunday. Colleges don’t release decisions on weekends. So the latest possible date is Friday, March 30th. And it may well be a day or two, even a few days, before then. Most colleges/universities except the Ivies give out decisions before the end of March (and even the Ivies have moved up the calendar this year since April 1st falls on a Sunday; word is that those decisions will go out on the 29th).

Howdy guys! We’re still in committee, and moving along at a healthy pace. To be honest, I don’t even know when we will finish. We’ll release as early as we can (while still feeling confident about the work we’ve done). Speculate away. I’m always impressed by how CC seems to figure it out.

PS: Our committee is definitely NOT singing Chumbawamba at this moment.

A college professor told me that colleges are now tending to stray away from April 1st because of April Fool’s Day. They are instead moving admissions a few days earlier to end of March. Also, I believe adcoms like end of day on Fridays as there are no complaints until Monday… I think March 30 is release date

The suspense is actually painful, LOL, and the speculation seems to make it worse. Positive thoughts, everyone!

DanAdmiss@Tufts does Tufts send out “likely letters”?

It looks like March 30th will be the day (even if the admissions committee doesn’t know it yet.) Friday seems like the best way to go from an admissions officer’s perspective and it avoids the whole April Fool’s Day “issue”. And if you really want to release decisions tomorrow, I’d be ok with that too, just in case you were waiting for me to give the go-ahead ;)

@Momworried: Absolutely not.

Hmmm yes tomorrow sounds ike a good day to me too. I second spanky’s endorsement lol.

According to the Tufts University twitter (@TuftsUniversity), decisions come out Thursday March 29th. This was in response to a tweet asking the notification date.

Good luck everyone!

Yay
10char

Will it be through email or portal or snail mail?

I figure email since there’s an admission decision section on the student portal.

my counselor told me that one of the other students got her decision just now… i checked my TAMS but there was nothing. did anyone else get it?

I just checked my TAMS portal and I haven’t received a decision either…

DanAdmiss,
My D was just receieved a Presidential Fellowship at Bucknell. Should we share this information with Tufts Admissions to help increase her chance there?

To the people who are worried about the decision date, I was accepted EDII and I got an email from the Tufts Admissions Committee saying that my decision was available online. There were a few others at my school who applied to Tufts and recieved a similar notification, so if nothing is on your TAMS right now, I’d say relax – They are probably not out yet, and when they are ready, Dan and his Admissions Team will send an email most likely.

Good luck to the RD pool of Class of 2016!!

Thanks for the info DesiCollegeGal Apparently, my TAMS still shows no decision letter available til this time. Patient…patient…
