Decision Date

No! Not at all! Thats what intrigues me! My best guess is that bcoz i sent in a music supplement in the form of a movie’s background score that i did, the rec could be from the music department! Do u think it could mean something or am i just overanalysing?

I don’t have such a line… When I sent them a link to a video I made, they added it on the list under a generic name, like “Supplementary Materials #2” (I don’t even know what the #1 is…). Btw, I also notice some strange things in my “Admission documents received” section… Things like “Email message received” when I didn’t send any email and stuff…
But let’s wait and see !
Where did you apply ? Maybe the staff rec thing is because you applied for a major related to music ?

Oh… I just noticed that my decision letter is now arrived in the post office nearby (it came by airmal tonight, according to fedex tracking…)
But they don’t want to deliver me today and I can’t pick it up myself… God…

I applied to Tepper! :P

Then… When was this line added to your “documents received” list ?

Are you sure it doesn’t say Alumni/Employee Letter?

I checked the forums from a couple of years ago, and everyone got packages that were 1.5lbs. Some people even said to assume that 0.5lbs is a rejection.
I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT. so please, anyone get their package yet?
this is KILLING me. Mine is arriving tmrw, and I will keep you all posted.

How do u check the weight of ur package if ur not international???

@mysteryella, u gotta be kidding, ur gonna kill everyone on this forum…

How does everyone check if it’s in the post office? I’m in TX.
Don’t you need a tracking number?

yup, still no clue how the heck you guys know how much your letter weighs

… they’re international applicants…

Yes, justwin is right.
International here, and as I said just a bit earlier, we got to pay 50$ for priority international shipment (by airmail), so that we can receive it in less than 2 months…
We got assigned a DHL/Fedex tracking number (My letter is in the post office ! One more day to wait…).

And I don’t think the weight of the letter has anything to do with our rejection/acceptance… The website through which we “ordered” the shipment was not CMU-affiliated (is basically just a website that will contact CMU and say “Hey, XX student with YY applicant number ordered an express delivery, please find shipment information attached”), and I’m 100% sure the weight of the letter was already listed as 0.5lbs (hey, if I recall correctly, I think this weight was already listed before I even entered my CMU applicant number…).

Wait & see !

sorry for freaking everyone out, let’s just cross our fingers and see.

@DDN123 i am a 100% sure it was “rec from CMU faculty/staff” and not alumni.

Well it seems like we’ll all know tomorrow (midnight). :)

It’s midnight. Anyone get their status updated? I just checked to see if they put my financial aid notification up there – they haven’t.

Will be posted midnight tomorrow (3/26) EST.

Well, that’s upsetting.

Oh my god just got my letter!!

Accepted to cmu!!! :d :d :d

wow
