Hello!
I’m currently on step 4 of the admission process, and I’m so nervous about the decision!
Looking back to the previous year’s discussions, I found out that the decision for regulars started to come out in really early March. However, on the UR website, it said decisions will be out by April 1st. Does Rochester typically release decisions in early March? If so, when will it be and will that for everyone?
Thank you and good luck!
We’re in same boat too. I just have my mind on April 1st for all my colleges, working out fine. I’m just curios on why everyone goes to stage four. I mean, I don’t think all apps go to the committee, or is Rochester an exception? Or do some applicants never reach stage four?
@iocbobby10 I’m pretty sure all apps go to the committee as a procedure although not every app would get the same level of scrutiny. It is weird how everyone stays on stage four for over three weeks. Maybe they just reach a decision but don’t update to stage five until the decision date? I think Rochester is the only school that I’ve applied to that shows every step of the process. I don’t know if I should be happy or anxious… At least it’s interesting!
Yeah but I’ll still beg to differ that all apps reach committee for doubt sake. I just entered stage four few days ago though.
FYI - My S’s app is still in Stage 2. Weird.
@momofzag There’s still a month to go, I’d imagine that many apps are still on Sage 2.
My son’s application has been at Stage 4 for weeks now. I think iocbobby10 has a good attitude (just think April 1 and don’t obsess meanwhile) but when you really care about getting admitted, sometimes it is hard to maintain that healthy approach!
Decisions come out in batch and randomly till April 1st, not even based on when you submitted your app. So no matter what stage you are, you’ll get a decision before April 1st. This is the info I got from the admissions office
