I feel rather silly asking this, but does anyone know when the decisions are supposed to come out? I tried looking on the UofC site, but I just couldn't find it. Thanks!

They are deliberately vague..........bastards.

But if i remember correctly, last year they received them about March 30th or 31st.

1 more month and we will all know... scary :(

do we get to check online?

If it is the same as last year, the notification is by "snail mail" (I believe international is by DHL or something similar); accordingly, arrival times will vary that first week of April.

Nerj, Are you kidding me?
You should know better...

The University of Chicago would NEVER reveal something as important as an admissions decision through something as impersonal as the internet.
Atleast an email. You'll get your letter in around a month's time.

The wait for EA was agonizing...I was the last one to get my decision. All my friends got deferrals. I didn't sleep for days.

I couldn't sleep or eat until I received the EA letter from the U. of C.- an acceptance. I cried when I read the letter, I was so happy.

Good luck to you all. Don't become too impatient. :)

I got deferred EA, and I'm still in love with the place. Let's keep waiting and keep hoping.

I don't understand how you guys have fallen in love with a particular school.

Its easy, Chicago has beautiful eyes and a sweet ass.

Sadly, I can't legitimately use that as a reason since I would get slapped upside the head if I said that about any1 but my girlfriend.

anyONE, perhaps, but anyTHING transcends that barrier....

Ahhhh, good points, I'll mention that the next time a I pass a fire hydrant or any other THING.

now you just have to distinguish whether things like animals are considered "no-no's"

if she was really a good girlfriend she would agree with you when you said that about someone else... ;)

but i'll know after everyone -- submitting the application today, and i've got one final essay to write before i'm done for good... and i am so ready to be done. applying sucks. i'll know mid-may i think

well it depends on context. I mean, you can always talk about a cat with nice eyes, or a horse with a beautiful ass, but I don't think the two would work in conjunction.

esquared -- again, the animal thing just took it too far. slow down there turbo. go slay some hoodrats

I will never slow down, sir....

Velocity is my middle name.........it's pronounced "John" though, in my family...

i seriously doubt they will accept me after seeing my midyear report.

:(
