did all of you who got letters go to divoh?

^ I went to divoh, didn’t get a letter. Depressing.

i got one and DID go to divoh…

i second kiterunner’s thoughts.

seeing as i don’t know what divoh is, no, i didn’t go to that.
FYI the letter is dated Feb. 26

Introvert - Congrats! What are your stats?

I also got one and did do DIVOH. I believe it’s only by paper mail since my email states nothing regarding decisions.

did yours come today?

friend got in recently and his stats:

~4.5 GPA (4.5 = A honors, 5.0 = A in AP)
2200<sat<2400
no sports, no major clubs
kicker?: really really good violinist in New England

I’m awaiting a decision as well…but my grades are nowhere up to par. It’s not my top choice anyways, but I was surprised at how early some of these decisions came out.

Stridegumisbest, yeah it came yesterday, but was dated for February 26.

Do Amherst’s likely letters go to their top candidates for admission, like some other school’s likely letters do? Or are acceptances sent on a rolling basis?

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail, and I am in disbelief. And to be honest, freaked out. As an Asian from CA with no hooks going for me, I’d almost already decided I wouldn’t get in. Congrats to those with early acceptances! And best of luck to all of you who are still waiting!

Only their top candidates. On the website it states that Amherst mails its decisions for RD on April 1.

Keil, what are your stats? If you don’t mind…

Sure. They’re quite average in Amherst’s applicant pool, actually.

UW GPA: 3.81, WGPA: 4.47
2260 SAT (730 math/740 verbal/790 writing)
SAT II: 790 US History/740 Literature
35 superscored ACT
Female Asian from CA

My extracurriculars and recommendations probably helped me out a ton. I just looked through the viewbook again, and the 75% percentile for SAT scores is 2340. I’m awed and humbled.
