Accepted today, don't know if I am going yet or not. They need to show me some $$ first.

accepted to a&s :)

My daughter heard via email today at 4:40P. She got in to the School of Social Work. We to are waiting to hear about money!!!!! Good Luck to everyone.

People who were accepted to Newhouse but who are deciding whether to attend, what other schools are you considering?

I was accepted into Newhouse, but am still weighing in possible acceptances to BU and Northeastern. Also got into Maryland, Illinois, and Michigan, so it's going to to be a tough choice.

I was also accepted into Maryland, Penn State, Ithaca, U of Scranton, and Temple. Out of those, I would only consider going to Maryland or PSU over Newhouse. It's going to come down to the money, unfortunately.

Got into Whitman School of Management today via email!

Accepted today to the college of arts and sciences. I'm pretty stoked about their decision but I'm still not certain that I will attend. It's going to be a fun month and a half, for sure.

Also viva la dana, changing academic programs at SU is no big deal at all. I switched my intended major from newspaper journalism at the newhouse school to political science at A&S before my admissions decision and the University was pretty swift in making the change. I had to send the request via email to Jonathan Joseph Hoster (jjhoster@syr.edu), who is an admissions counselor on campus. As per SU rules, they cannot make the change unless you submit a declaration in writing. Considering that you are already admitted, I can't imagine them giving you a hard time.

Finally, my d checked her e-mail:

Accepted to Newhouse!! Thrilled, one of top choices, but not sure if attending until other acceptances come in...

bruceb: Other schools waiting for: USC-Annenberg, Emory, Vanderbilt......(as you can tell, weather is an issue) Already accepted: UMiami-Comm, Ithaca-Park

Where is it that you can check online?

For those of you that got in, congrats! Thats amazing.
Would anyone like to post their stats (esp. for Newhouse) so us Juniors who will be going through this next year can compare our chances? ;]
