Decision day

i don’t think being optimistic is restricted to expecting to get in… it mayinvolve that… but it’s more like… there’s still hope left so i shouldn’t be feeling all miserable now. Just embrace the experience since you can’t run away from it anyways. Being optimistic also means (at least to me) knowing that even if i get rejected, it’s not the end of the world for me; after all, college prestige may be important but really, college is what you make out of it.

haha I’ll probably see the value in it once I get into college haha. As of Now… I really cant. And I feel like the wait is shorter in job applications, and plus i feel like few jobs are as difficult to get into as the ivy’s. Plus not to quote country music but " the first cut is the deepest" haha. And as someone that has tried both optimism and Pessimism–albeit most of you as applicants to Top schools are slightly optimistic in nature (as myself)-- optimism does make you happier in the moment (all of them before rejection) it does make it suck more when u get rejected. therefore—> No expectations haha
But your rite about having to learn to appreciate this, at least in the aspect of the “Everything can happen” mentality. But why limit that to college admissions time, take it into every day life rite?

I’m excited too! College acceptances are not the WORLD guys.

If we get rejected from X University, do you really think we’ll still be torn apart by it a year later? Most likely, no…cause we will be loving the college that we do end up going to! I’m going to look at my decision, and if doesn’t turn out the way I want it to, i’m going to be a little disappointed, but i will shrug it off within a day or two. BE HAPPY! :D

^^Agreed. At this point I don’t care so much what the decisions are April 1st; I just want to know what I’m doing next year. Don’t plan to hang around on any wait-lists.

hahah totally ava! I got rejection from one of my favorites yesterday and it barely phased me, which is kinda weird, but w/e that’s my personality.

anyone who doesn’t get into brown will be going somewhere else great=]

I bought a stack of Powerball tickets because I figured I had a better chance of getting into the Ivies than winning the lottery.

You never know though…
