Decision Day

Ok so I read somewhere that they would annouce decisions on April 1st, but then I've heard people saying that some years they announce them earlier. Does anyone know what day they will announce them and if they are going to be on the site.
Thanks

April 1. This will forever be judgment day.
It won’t come out earlier.

My counselor called the admissions at Rice and they said that because of the great influx of applicants that it will probably be around April 15th. They said that they are going to send out an email during spring break to notify students of tihs.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

NO WAY!!! APRIL 15th ??? WHY ARE THEY TORTURING US!!!

Wow, that sucks and it’s a really bad idea. It leaves just 2 weeks to do visits and make a decision. I think it’ll have a negative affect on yield, too.

I find it very hard to believe that they would let us know close to April 15th, since it would be almost impossible for students to attend Owl Days. My guess is there gonna have most of them done by the second to last week to last week of March.

** Definitely not April 15 ** because Owl Days are on April 8-9.

Thats really not likely, but then again if there not done then there not done.

^
I’m sorry, but it’s “they’re not done”, a contraction of they and are. You probably know
that, and I’m not trying to be mean; it just really bugs me when that happens.

i have a friend whose mother works at rice
and she said decisions could be out earlier than the 1st, “maybe march 23rd”

We received a reply to our financial aid question today and it contained information about the expected decision time. The email read as follows:

We have received C’s financial aid documents needed for processing. He should expect an admission and financial aid decision towards the end of the month.

Best regards,

So according to the Financial Aid folks, decisions should be out at the usual time - the end of March.

is anyone sure how we’ll be notified? email? website? letter?

I realized that right after I hit post. But lol Tresler, thanks for pointing out how bad I am at grammer.

Haha sorry!

@xc2009chc:I realized that right after I hit post. But lol Tresler, thanks for pointing out how bad I am at grammer.

Sorry, but can’t complement you on your spellings either.

@ keels223: all three I believe–website and email first, then letter comes in the mail

Since you felt the need to correct xc2009chc…

@username-deleted: In that context, you should have used “compliment,” not “complement.”

has everyone gotten an online username yet? i never got one…

@ddalki: In that context, you should have used “compliment,” not “complement.”

ddalki, you are right. That is embarrasing. But I learned something.
