So I checked my applicant status, and it says my ED school still hasn't finished reviewing my app. So does that mean that I have a higher chance of getting a deferral or possibly a rejection since the date is this close? Or they just couldn't decide....
Just curious about what's actually happening in this 5 days

Usually they don’t change the status until the decision date… it means nothing. Go find something else to do for 5 days. Bake holiday cookies, watch Dr. Who, read, nap, do homework, practice the recorder, work on your other apps (since if the news isn’t good, you might not feel too inspired to work on them then). Just go find something else to distract yourself.

Isn’t it possible/likely the university provides “no decision” status for all ED applicants, until it releases its results? Were I the top admissions officer, I’d do just that to preclude hundreds or thousands of “the database indicates that my decision has been made, was I admitted?” telephone calls and e-mails.

no actually, I saw on the thread that some applicants alrdy have their status changed to “The review of your application has been completed” by the middle-end of November @TopTier
I guess, I’ve been trying to distract myself from checking the site every 2 hrs… but just wasn’t very successful in doing so @intparent

Just because they finished someone’s application doesn’t mean they accepted them! Again… don’t worry. Go do something else.
