<p>Its much different then the waitlist---the waitlist is a crap shoot--the guaranteed transfer is a committment by the school to place you. I would much prefer being on that list then on that waitlist!</p>

<p>It is one year----you can go pretty much anywhere else you want---maintain a 3.0 average and you are in------So you start Cornell as a sophomore---Good luck and yes, its much better then being wait listed.</p>
<p>Okay guys. I'm a freshman in college and I also got a guaranteed transfer to cornell last year when i applied. If your transfer doesn't say TWO YEAR then it is one year. mine is a two year transfer. i'm applying for next year also just for the hell of it, so we'll see about that. if you got the transfer -- TAKE IT!... whether or not you start out at cornell doesn't matter in the long run--- in the end you'll still graduate with a degree from Cornell. good luck with your decision-making--- you're almost there.
