y does it matter?

Will they send out more decisions tomorrow? If they do, then I still have a chance. With my horrible stats by Michigan standards (UM GPA 3.5, SAT 2110, all received by 10/17) , I really think I am going to get deferred(and eventually rejected). I will be screwd for the next four years since I don't really like to go to any of my "safeties"

well that's not a very good attitude lol. i would be surprised if you end up getting rejected, the only reason you'd get deferred is bc mich loves GPA and yours is sub-par to most of the applicants. BUT you still have essays, ECs, recs, etc. that can pull a ton of weight. Just relax, I PROMISE you it will all work out.

Just out of curiosity tho, what are your safeties?

I'm a little concerned - the last of my materials was recieved on 10/31, I have good stats, and I still haven't heard anything...

hey im in a similar situation.. all my things were in by october 21st

out of state
act 33
umich gpa is a 3.55 but its a 3.9 normally
5 AP's

chances?

probably alright bc of scores, but again, GPA is low

Based on all of the threads, there has really not been anyone admitted below a 3.8 UW/UM GPA yet, has there??? Not rejected, not deferred yet, but they are probably releasing decisions in decending GPA order by my account....My guess is they will do this until Dec 21st and then deferrals and rejections will go out then....Good Guess????

standardized tests/difficulty of courses have to factor in somewhere.. i would hope

Im in a same spot as u guys too OOS (NY so maybe hope)
1380/1990
90 avg

rodney: i really don't think they are doing it in order of descending GPA lol, remember that most people on here have higher stats than the rest of the application population. But the office of admissions has been very clear that if you don't have the numbers they are looking for right away, they will hold off on a decision until all of the applications are in.

I Got In Too!!

Yeah I think they are going down by GPAs. I mean I know people that have VERY good test scores and ECs and applied early with ~3.5-3.6 even 3.7 and haven't heard. I really think GPA is the main factor by FAR. I mean the admitted students so far I don't think are at all representative of who's gonna be admitted overall.

I got my email zup! yeuh accepted.

someone just posted acceptance with a 3.79, so it isn't just GPA

^^That's a 3.8, pretty much. Well there's no way to really know. Lol.

true, but remember on an earlier thread from the oct. 23rd releases someone with a 3.9 and 30 was waitlisted. so there are more things than just scores that come into play here. just don't worry about it, everything will work out

congrats to everyone who got in already!
the wait is killing me!!! argh

i just hope there will be another batch of releases this week!

me tooooo. i dont think i can wait another 2 weeks for my decision (which will probably be a waitlist or rejection)

Hey guys i got into the college, but I also applied to the Ross preadmit program, and the email didnt say anything about it. Do we find out later about it, or has anyone here gotten word about it?
