Decision: Letter or Online

How are you guys gonna check your admission decision?

I think I'll just wait for the mail to arrive... It'll be a lot less harsh/cruel/brutal if the news is not good. And it'll double the happiness if the news is good. =)

You say you'll wait for the mail, but I think you'll find that quite impossible.

i agree with tranorix, it's impossible

I never understood why people don't want to find out ASAP. Waiting was the worst part for me.

If you get in, why wouldn't you want to celebrate earlier?
And if you don't, you get put out of your misery earlier.

Good luck by the way.

How do you check online?

u sign on....@ admissions.cornell.edu
then u go to check application status....a yellow box in the corner..

i wouldn't be able to fall asleep that night if i knew my decision was on computer...tell us if you have enough self control to wait for the letter when april 1st rolls around kyong

check it online, but don't check it at school..depending on where you live...i live in california and the decisions come up while school is still in session, so everyone races to the computer lab and screams/cries/whatever emotion comes out. wait until you get home to check it online.

It was like that for SATs... everybody was in the library freaking out.

which comes first? online or mail? (...for the rolling schools)

online... oh well ed was first online, and online is immediate, so i assume online

yea...its definitely online...i got into the hotel school today and the online decision comes first and says that you will receive the acceptance in the mail within the next few days

wow... congratz joechef!

ahh.. i'm so impatient!

Congratulations, Joeshef!! That's great!!!! Is it your first choice?
I didn't know that Cornell was rolling... lol..

Anyway, I don't know everyone~ I hate waiting, too..but I really didn't have a good experience reading the decision e-mail for ED(and silly me.. I checked it at 5:00 in the morning-totally ruined my day)...

Then, I recently got accepted from two other schools via mail unexpectedly...It was soo nice to see a thick pocket for one school, and it was a great surprise to see the word 'Congratualtions' in a thin letter for the other school..

I guess I might change my mind when the time comes, but I'll just stick to the letter for now..lol

I haven't even been through the process, and I bet you'll change your mind. Especially if you had some friends apply, and they race to the library, and come back sobbing or in jubilant expression, you'll have a hard time waiting for the mail

Does anyone know the exact date and time for posting of the decisions for CAS?

yea, that's true..

But if you check it with your friends, then you inevitably have to report your decision immediately tho... I hope to avoid that situation not because I don't trust my friends, but because I don't trust my self-control ability..lol..Thanks, tho..

O, checking at home sounds good, too. Who knows I have 28 or so days to decided it..lol..

lol....thanks stacey and undecided...yea its my first choice so im def. gonna be up there next september...good luck with your colleges!
