Decision Letter Status

I e-mailed Pton, I will post their reply. I expect decisions to go out from Dec. 12-15, otherwise they would not give such a date...:

Dear Applicant,
"Early Decisions committee is meeting as we speak so evaluations are
still ongoing. We will be mailing our decision letters on or about the 15th
of December. By the 19th, if you have not received a letter, you may call
the office at (609) 258-6743 to receive your decision over the telephone.
Sorry, but that's all the information we have at this time. We wish you the
best of luck."

For them to use the 19th as a final day, they should be going out anywhere between the 12-15. So we must wait patiently and it seems Pton EDers will find out a little later than las year's EDers...
What is everyone's reaction???

It's okay as long as I get the decision next week before the exams.

my exams are in January, so this week is less stressful, good luck harrypotty, i know your upcoming weeks are stressful

my stanford app is due the 15...

i was waiting for the decision and hopin i won't need to do it

this means i gotta start working on it this weekend

yea annandale, i think so, don't chance it...

The last two years, people in the NJ/NY area started getting their decisions on the Saturday before the 15th. Last year, that was the 11th; this year, it is the 10th. I don't know if they will get them out by Saturday this year, but even if they don't, assuming they follow the same general schedule, I would guess that the majority of you will have your decisions by the 13th.

Cargirl- God, I hope so. I couldn't stand waiting til the NINETEENTH.

jey- I second the vote for the dartboard. My chances of getting in would be much better that way.

thansk for sharing your email.

i think it's a smart idea to send in the Stanford application before you receive your Princeton ED letter.

THE 19th? OH NO! It'll be winter break by then....and honestly...by then I'd assume I hadn't gotten in (given they send out acceptences quickly) but I'd still have this horrible little hope.

I'll be jelly next week. I can barely concentrate as it is, but seriously next week I'll be living next to the mail box.

Thanks for sharing the email Grk.
I hope ICargirl is right! It sounds reasonable enough.

Does anyone else think that receiving your decision over the phone would be terrible if it were a rejection?

Horrible. I'm afraid I'd start crying, or hang up.

And yeah, thanks for the info GrkPt. It's much appreciated.

Yeah, there is no way in hell that I would eeeeever call somewhere to see if I were accepted, unless it were my local community college.

ICargirl - How do you know this is right? I'm hoping you are though, I want to know NOW!

no problem guys/gals, i told them i was going on vacation on the 16th, so i guess i obtained some good info... (that was a ruse, i am not going on vacation) ;)

call again and say 13 this time

lol

keep calling, then they will say it's tomorrow

I just emailed a friend who is an admissions ambassador up at Princeton. He told me that he spoke to an admissions officer today and was told the letters will be mailed December 14th. Next Wednesday. I was hoping for sooner, but alas. Alas.

Yeah my interviewer actually said they're mailed the 14th. I was hoping he was misled.
