Rumor has it that letters come out tomorrow. My friend who has some type of connection I really have no idea told me that letters are supposedly coming out tomorrow. But I have no idea if it means they will arrive at our homes or if Bard is just mailing them out. Anxiety is overtaking me.

3/25 Please.

your anxiety is understandable, your letter should arrive by april 1st. they mail them out the 25th. calm down, breath, sounds like you really want to go, and they take that largely into account while making their decisions

Yes, quite true. The Bard College website says,

“Admission Decisions Mailed March 25! Please note that all decisions are mailed in a standard size envelope”

So I guess we won’t know until we really open the letter!
Also, I agree with mattman13. Try and calm down!

Haha well Bard confirmation is nice. I live really close so hopefully it comes today or tomorrow

In:) nothing about FA though…fingers crossed

Don’t be upset by the size of the envelope. My D’s EA acceptance letter was enclosed in a red Hallmark-type card that said “Congratulations!” or something like that. The rest of the info will arrive with the FA packet, which should be released sometime in April.

I just received an email telling me I got it. Very considerate of them, since I’m an international applicant.

@tranquil218-
I applied EA and was soo scared to open my letter when I saw it was small. I just knew it was a rejection and was shocked when it was really an acceptance letter. I don’t know of many colleges of Bards calibur that use standard sized envelopes for thier acceptance letters. :D

I know how you feel, nastynate. I brought the mail in that day, and I thought the envelope felt awfully strange for a rejection. As my D opened the envelope, I saw the card and - STG - thought for one second that the admissions office was sending out holiday greetings. Just hope that the FA packages hold equally good news come April.

Hopefully mine comes today! I was counting on the proximity but I guess USPS didn’t pull through. AAAAAAAAAAH! like 5 more hours of this.

gooottt mine! I knew not to be all frightened of the small envelope…

Kudos, jam!

And a note to all … accepted students Open House is Saturday April 18th. Sign up on the Bard web site.

Wow, I just opened up the infamously small, Bard envelope a few minutes ago. I expected total rejection until I saw a red piece of paper, exclaiming “Congratulations!”, and thus the actual acceptance letter. This is great!

I GOT IN! I also got into the equal cost scholar program thing. So great! Absolutely made my year

In! Neat. The shiny red envelope reinforced my mother’s promise that I’m special.

In! I haven’t received my financial aid information yet though.

yea the financial aid stuff should come in about a week. the website says they give 90% of aid needed so that should be pretty good

What is the equal cost scholar thing?

Hooray! Accepted!
