For regular decision has anyone received decision this week? I have someone telling me they got the acceptance admission letter today, I'm having a hard time believing it though considering it's spring break and they were scheduled to release them April 1st..

i applied RD and havent heard anything yet, except I keep getting emails from the admissions office telling me how lovely atlanta is and how excited they are to have received such a wonderful applicant pool and how they wish me luck in the admissions process.

Dear Emory,
Thank you for your luck and your many many emails that make me freak out when I assume they are a decision, but please, STOP SENDING ME THINGS UNTIL YOU ADMIT ME AND PLEASE ADMIT ME SOON.
Thanks,
Going Insane

There is a whole other thread telling me about this fiasco, there WERE mis-sent emails today.

worriedsenior- I have been getting the same emails! I was wondering if everyone got them.

Hmmmm I don’t think I received one, but it’s also gotten to the point where I ignore Emory’s emails because I assume they’re all talking about Atlanta… My parents are both alums; I KNOW WHAT ATLANTA LOOKS LIKE SO STOP EMAILING ME!

I think the “false acceptance letters” were only sent out to applicants who were missing documents.

I sincerely hope those emails are indicative of an acceptance. I don’t see the reasoning behind sending these emails to people who have already applied (people who are clearly interested), and then go ahead and reject them. It would be very disingenuous. Or, maybe I’m just very hopeful.
