Decision Letters

@Pixxie But Anneberg looks and feels like the great hall! ;)

Smelly, dw, ani’s the only one who’s got his tickets, the rest of us will be fashionably late.
But if you’ve decided on your college, then it might be a good idea to get started on the I-20.
I <3 momos, haha, they seem to have become a food staple. The spicy chutney that comes with them is yummy. Btw, ani’s only on a hiatus since he’s holidaying in Punjab and …probably stuffing his face :D

^Kimathi: yeah, but I hear the food is less than awesome. What did you decide finally?

If you ever get sick of the food in Harvard, you can always go to greater Boston. Sniff I’m kind of sad I won’t be coming to Boston anymore. I had friends there who moved away so won’t be seeing them. :frowning: Would have been nice to have some friendly faces to look at. Anyway I am booking my tickets soon. Oh btw the “one bag” rule does not apply if you are transfering from an international sector.

Smelly, I am disappointed. You don’t consider any of ours friendly? I would have been a frequent visitor to Boston if I went to school in Philly.

Your food “problem” will be solved if you attend couple of functions organized by Triveni and you will get a chance to meet many families from B’lore.

Hello Tippu, Hello all. Great to see all the acceptances. As i didnt apply to any college abroad so its IIT for me. But there are always transfers.
Pixie only one word i can think of is WOW. Congratulations.
It feels great seeing you all get accepted to good colleges. Can anyone tell me what colleges tippu got into cause he is one intriguing person.

nomad, you got into IIT? Congrats!

Sorry, no one here knows. I think he is a ■■■■■. He said he will go to some no name state college like Texas A&M.

I do yaar, but in my mom’s friend’s house I had free accomodation. Of course I consider you guys friendly. I hope to be bumping into some of you guys sometime during our undergrad experience. Most of us are on the east coast. And Congrats on IIT nomad! Which one? LOL @ Tippu. Tippu is a ■■■■■ but a classy one. :stuck_out_tongue: btw what does A&M stand for?

I didnt exactly get into iit yet as the actual result will be announced on may 25, but after calculating my marks according to bansal answer key i can safely assume i’m in. And as for which one i’m currently inclined towards mumbai.
Texas Agriculture and Military(this was for putturani’s benifit), interesting choice. I read somewhere long back that you got accepted to caltech was it true? Care to explain your reason for choosing a&m?

^^Tippu, you’re posting as yourself and calling yourself a ■■■■■. (I couldn’t help state the obvious) It would have made more sense had Chanakya in a bout of jealousy done that instead. ;)

Smelly: What are you sayingggg??? Tippu is a ■■■■■?
Good to hear about one bag rule.
re Texas A&M: [let me google that for you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

Nomad: Thank you! How have you been? Relaxing now, or taking other tests too?
And get the joke, dude. Think over your question again and question its validity.

@Nomad: What’s your score ? I won’t be getting any of the core IITs as I’ll barely manage to cross the cut-off …
And I heard this year’s topper from Reso … some 465er !!!

Joking yaar, I know Tippu isn’t really a ■■■■■. Playing around. :stuck_out_tongue: But yes, it would have had better effect if Chankya had gotten jealous of the awesomeness of Tippu and been a little catty. Hahaha My mind is out of order now. Studying for IB exams and SO. SCARED!!!

I have a sneaking suspicion that Chanakya will make an appearance now.

It has to be blossom.
Umm…did someone call out my name?

^nah, just some random(facepalm) gibberish from a wicked, jobless person. Not worth ur time, dont bother. :)

puttu, good luck 4 ur ib exams! I know what u mean about going crazy as they near.
im going 2 drop by at swat some day. I want a free tour of campus and some of those bottles of nail polish(although i have little patience 4 it, but whatevs) to boot! :D

YES! You should! And then we should go out and get some deep dish pizza or something. If you end up in Harvard you should eat from that Chicago Pizza place, deep dish pizza. Soo yummy and fattening. And I would love to convert you into a vain nail polish lover like me. I will also land up at Pton or H someday beware.

You know I keep thinking of lame things to say to drag this discussion back on topic…still not decided where to go. :S Some people are all for USC (sun, scholarship and easier courses) whereas some people are all for Swat.

Oh yes, chicago pizza i had some in delhi when i went to visit select citywalk. It was pretty awesome.
I like some the hacks MIT students played on harvard. I particularly liked this one [IHTFP Hack Gallery: John Harvard plays Halo3](IHTFP Hack Gallery: John Harvard plays Halo3)

and this one too

And yeah i’m relaxing, but my mother is insisting i study for other exams too.
@compscifan
I’m getting close to 350 according to bansal answer key. And yeah i heard the 460 rumors. although some of my frnds are getting like 380 something so it may be true. But i find it hard to believe. The paper was easy, but not THIS easy.
And pixie i was trying to be sarcastic there, but i wasnt sarcastic enough it seems.

^Select CityWalk is my second home haha.
Your score is an excellent one! Congrats!

Haha, Puttu, sure, that should be fun. I still adore Swat a lot, and the campus is beautiful? And you’re welcome to camp out wherever I am. :)

CSF: Your score is not bad at all seeing that you didn’t even study for three (?) months before the test!

How do you all know so much about IIT? My dad was keen for me to try but the thought of the exams and engineering scared me. I’ve only been to Select once but looking forward to going again when I go to Delhi this time. Haha sure Pix, soo many things to do before move in. Haven’t even decided on where to go yet.

Btw, interesting cartoon preferences.:stuck_out_tongue:
Puttu, it’s up to you. What course are you going for? For me, it would be Swat because I like the intellectual atmosphere, highly rigorous focus on academics and many opportunities with small student body (leading to more intimate experience), beautiful campus…the overall vibe itself more, but then your individual preference is most important, and I haven’t researched much on USC.

I agree that finances should play a pretty big role in decisions too, esp if you aren’t aiming for a professional degree in undergrad.
