I applied in mid December so I am really grateful that they have made a decision already.

Here are my stats:

GPA : 2.66 unweighted and weighted
SAT: 1460 (770m, 690v)
EC: Pretty Strong
Out of State
Only applied to UPark - Marketing or Management
Didn't say yes to summer session
Didn't write the essay

1460 is pretty dominant. I think you have a shot but it woulda helped if you did the essay or applied priority. I did the essay in like 10 minutes. You could have explained one of your ECs but i still think you go a shot. I guess you agree the 2.66 is killing you but maybe they will see you are smart by your SATs. You will have your answer tommorrow i think. Good luck. You will go to smeal if you applied for marketing and management. Maybe we will be in the same class. Update for us tommorrow.

My school is competitive so maybe that helps but this should be a good scale. My school ranked top 25 on the top 1000 list of High schools by newsweek

lilkiller if that 4.0 is UW you are in. if it is W i think you have a good shot

Sympathy you must have gotten an answer by now. Did you get in?

Checked mail today and nothing arrived yet. Perhaps I should give it a day or two more because I live in California? I am getting really restless :(

Cheapseats- From my high school, only 2 people applied to Penn State last year, and that's the only school I applied to that people from my high school appliedto last year. So I used your naviance justto look at stats of people who applied to my other schools I applied to. More people from your school applied to PSU-UP than everyone in my grade. More people applied to UMD-CP than all 4 grades of my school. Of the schools I applied to, I did a little better on SAT's than the average accepted scores of your HS. It just gives me a little confidence that I have the average accepted scores of students from a top 25 high school.

Yeah, my school has it too, but for me it's no help. I applied to Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan, Army, and Navy, and of those, only 2 people applied to Penn State last year.

Sympathy,
I am on the same boat as you. Decision made as of 2/6, but nothing in the mail yet. The funny part is I live in Northern Virginia, only a couple hours away from PA..hmm..well it is making me very anxious too. I got good news from UIUC, but PSU might be a different story...Oh the nerves!! :P
Best of luck!

For me, I think Penn State said they made a decision on 11/29, it was postmarked 11/30, and I think I recieved it 12/3 or so. I'd bet it will come tomorrow.

You get Lincoln's birthday off? We would have had school tomorrow, but here in the northeast we just got a bunch of snow and now don't have school.
