Decision Medium (Online v. Snail Mail)

Hey guys, as we near the deadline, I had a quick question regarding how/when we will find out our decision. I know that there is an online portal but is this the only way we can find out? Or will Penn also send something via snail mail? If so, how much later does this follow the release of the decision online?
Just asking because my personal preference would be to find out with the letter in my hand and not over the internet. But if that means waiting more than another few days, not worth it.

like i said, i know they send it out over the admissions portal. but that didn’t answer my question…

When I applied, I found out online, and maybe a week or so later got a letter in the mail (I lived in Canada though, so international mail is slower than domestic…) This was 3 years ago though.

I have been wondering the same thing. I really don’t want to check the portal; I’d rather get the decision in the mail. Plus, I need to see the financial info and I would rather not find out I am in, then find out I got a terrible financial package. So if anyone knows if you get a letter after getting in, not getting in, big package, small package, and when, that would be great. Thanks!

They only send acceptance letters via snail mail unless you haven’t checked the portal for something like one or two days after it’s released. If that’s the case, they will send you the decision so they know that you’ve been notified.
