Yup I saw that! Wow this is going to be a rollercoaster ride Wednesday night. For me I have 4 ivies: Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, and Cornell coming out at 5 and then Duke at 6. Hopefully I go like 3 for 5 or something, that would be very successful. 0-5 would suck so much.

I agree whatfunii I have a few that day myself and an 0/fer would be a big time bummer

I’m waiting on 5, four of which are going to be on the 30th (who knows when Stanford is going to be…).

To be honest, I don’t really care what happens with the others as long as I get in to Duke. I can’t see myself going anywhere else and I’d be devastated if I didn’t get in… :/

Try having the 30th as your birthday. It could be a stellar day: I turn 18, get accepted by UPenn(first choice) or Duke, and get to work Special Olympics. Or it could be a “my 18th just wasn’t so great” story for my kids:P

Lolsss

What time zone is the 6pm notification in?

I would assume EDT because Duke is on the east coast obviously. And luther, I heard Stanford is on the 1st this year so one week for that! haha

I got the email today confirming the 30th at 6pm. And yeah, its eastern time.

E mail just arrived confirming the 30th at 6PM

Did your email say something about not viewing the decisions around friends? It’s making it sound like, “we’re gonna reject you, so go somewhere where you can cry without being laughed at.”

Yes, mine said that too! It doesn’t seem very encouraging…

Yeah I saw that IvyHopeful, not the most comforting tone I’ve ever read. Hoping to recover from a double waitlist last night by claremont and northwestern.

Major anxiety will begin in a few days…Of my CommonApp colleges, I have been waitlisted at both Rice and WashU so I’m really worried about Duke. Good luck everyone!

Just got the email. That’s both Duke and Brown at 6PM on Wednesday. I’ll probably open Duke first.

Don’t you guys worry about the “be alone when viewing your decision” thing. It was sent to everybody, not only to those whom they intend to reject. I received the same e-mail and I know I have been admitted because they told me so on the 5th of March (which also happened to be my birthday), when they sent an e-mail letting me know I was a University Scholar Finalist.

So be optimistic :).

I have gmail, so when all my decisions are in my inbox, I’m going to search for ‘congratulations’ and see if any of them pop up… Then I’ll search for ‘regret’ and ‘sorry’ and ‘disappointed’ if there are any left that didn’t pop up… :P

I’m Duke at 5 then Dartmouth at 6

other way around Dartmouth at 5 Duke at 6

Do they accept any students who did not receive likely letters? Since my son never received one he assumed he was rejected and the on-line notification is just a formality. Anyone know for sure??
