Some people on this forum said that they were unofficially told they were accepted on bannerweb, I was wondering where and about how long before their official letter they were able to see this?

Thanks

We were officially told on BannerWeb. If it's happening, you'll receive an email a day or two before hand, but the day I was told was probably the day decisions went into the mail. The 15th is almost here, and you'll have a decision soon enough.

the problem is i absolutely have to know before then. preferably the sooner the better

I suspect that you'll know any day now. When schools set a date, it's generally the latest they will notify applicants. Borgin is right; for RD, at least, they told the applicants exactly when decisions would be posted.

Have you logged onto Bannerweb recently?

yep this morning, i didn't see anything though.

where would it say?

Hi there merdavis2! I applied ED1 too. I don't think there is anything on Bannerweb about the decision yet. The admission office told me in an email one week ago that decisions will be MAILED on 12 December. I have no idea whether it will be posted online though.

Okay, I know that the RD people said that their admissions decisions were posted online, but I swear to god that when I applied ED1 last year, my decision was not posted online, it was just mailed to me. You may want to email the admissions people and check, but I'm 99 % positive that the online decision posting is just for the RD decision deadline and not for ED1.

It is official, just got it in my email..ED1 decision will be out on 12 DEC on Bannerweb 6pm EST...all e best to all who applied ED1!

Wow! That's awesome, you guys are lucky that they're using bannerweb so widely now. Good luck to all of you!

We want an official EDI acceptance thread when on December 12!

I wonder if that applies to people who aren't ED, I am actually applying as a spring transfer. I guess if I don't see it online on Monday I'll try calling them.

I need to know like, yesterday, because if I go to Smith I have to move out of my dorm on the 15th, which is going to be hard enough because I go to school in California and have to mail all of my stuff back home to Texas.

I would imagine that their spring transfer pool is relatively small - as is their number of open spots. I suggest calling admissions now and explaining your predicament. At the very least, they might tell you when they expect to make a decision.

If they tell you that they won't be making their spring transfer decisions until later, then you'll have to figure out what to do. Don't make a big stink about it over the phone with Smith, though - not if you really want to attend.

They told me I'll find out on the 13th through bannerweb, I wonder if that's also when they let you know if you have any scholarships? The acceptance will be a bit bittersweet if I have no money to attend.

The admissions response does not come with a financial report. That is followed up through snail mail a bit later.

Good luck guys!!

Oh my god. One more day till the decision arrives. I'm such a nervous wreck right now. Anyone else checking their bannerweb account fanatically too?

Good luck to all the early decision applicants!

waitlisted.

how awesome. not really.

Yeah well. Same here. Sigh.

Best of luck to both of us eh?

ETA : My bad. I was deferred, not waitlisted. Wondering about the difference now too.
