Decision Pending

am i the only one who hasnt heard back from anywhere? ucr, uci, ucsd, ucsc and now ucsb?!!! i mean cmon!

same here.

Just wondering have you guys tagged schools? Or did you guys not.

same here… 3.94 gpa sociology major no tag.

Those schools have more than a month left to release their decisions, come on, chill.

My application is still pending for UCSB, UCSD, and UCR. I was accepted to UCSC, and I did not apply to UCI because I hate that place (haha, sorry!). I think it’s pretty random who is accepted in the first batches of these schools. Many people with high GPAs are still pending. It seems like those that have something wrong with their application or haven’t met requirements are receiving early rejection notices, so I would at least be comforted that you haven’t received any rejections.

Tagged UCSB Econ & Acct; applied to all 9 UC campuses and none of them has a decision for me so far…

Waiting for decisions sucks… especially when everybody asks you where your transfer and you have to explain that your waiting.

RELAX! According to last year’s threads, a large amount of people were getting accepted on the last week of April. I personally have prepared to wait until then, but luckily I was admitted into UCSB yesterday. I have not heard back from any of the others either.

@chelsiemorning, Can you please elaborate on why you hate UCI? I’m deciding between UCI but learning towards UCSB and I would like to factor in all the variables. Thanks!!

I just do not like Irvine… or Orange County in general, but especially Irvine. It’s a very quiet upper class city. A lot of corporate buildings, mostly mid-priced chain restaurants or department stores, police that pull you over for looking too ethnic. The campus is quiet, not a lot of social opportunities. Diversity is low. The official school demographics say it is 52% Asian, but if you walk around it seems that that number is much higher. Everyone just seems to mind their own business, studying and being quiet forever. Outside of the campus, Irvine is very spread out and there are hardly any gas stations for some reason, which is constantly frustrating me. It may just be my personal opinion, but I think Irvine is probably the most boring UC campus. UCSB is kind of the opposite, where I think your main concern would be that it’s too social and not academic enough. UCSB is a much better location.
