freshmen year my son had a suite with 5 other freshmen. it actually was the best. it consisted of 3 doubles, a common room and their own bathroom. worked out so well that the six of them stayed together the next year.
by rule the bathroom and common room could be used by others but the way they are set up no one ever used them since they are set up in a suite
they had a couch and a big screen tv in their common room, played video games and watched football on sundays together
