Decision: PSU/Jefferson or RPI/Albany

lol i remember u all! Hey if u guys do decide to go....i'm really excited about our program and getting to know u all! hopefully us 7 seven yrs can more part of the "group" than those in the past.

Hey! Congrats to all of you for making it into PSU/Jefferson. I'm currently a junior considering applying to PSU/Jefferson and some other combined programs next year. Could you guys post some basic statistics like test scores/ECs/rank/hospital volunteering etc. so I can see where i stand? Thanks a bunch.

long 2 day debate with my parents and other people and i decided against psu/jeff =((; one thing i will truly not miss when in 3rd and 4th year of undergrad is taking some bs upper division work when u guys will actually be learning more and useful information!

where aer you going ot go rishi?

hey harveyliscious, njasianfemale, and tigger10...did you all put down South as your first choice dorm?

Here is what I ranked for my room preferences: 1. roommate 2. Honors housing 3. South Halls

we can put down honor's housing even tho we aren't in the schreyer's honor college technically? i just put down 1) south halls 2) roommate 3 ) special option ( i put none tho b/c i didn't think we were qualified for any , such as the honors' housing)

at prog weekend they said that we couldn't put down honors housing cuz we're not in honors. is honors "atherton/simmons living and learning environments?"

no...you can. My friend's sister who was inthe program stayed in honors housing. 60% of the people who room at the honors housing aren't even in schreyers.

and I was accepted into honors college, but turned it down because I couldnt be in schreyers and the program at the same time...so that may give me an edge. I dunno.

So do you know if they are careful about the non-honors people that they put into Atherton & Simmons Halls?

i'm goin to usc bac/md brad

anyone got stats for psu/jefferson for outta state ppl
i realllllllly wnan go ther

I'm not sure how careful they are of the non -honors people they put. I would imagine since we're also the cream of the crop they would give us our preference. It's just my belief, I dunno.

is honors housing that much better than say a regular South dorm or vs. east dorm?

hey guys, im goin to PSU/Jeff also, but in the 6 yr. path. I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I was one of the twins from California there. anyways, most guys in the program are in East, so im rooming there. its also where most freshman are so ur gonna get to meet people easier. btw, does anyone whether or not AP English matters for credits?

did u interview at umkc? i think i remeber u.

Hey Amar!

And in reference to the honors housings questions--When I saw the honors dorms I felt that they were a little bigger. And the buildings had nicer facilities...and are right next to the gym. I don't know....I just liked them better.

hey ya, i was at UMKC also. kevin, rt? where u goin now? BU? Drexel? UMKC?? VCU? wherever u go, lets keep in touch.

BTW, I was told by a PSU administrator that 15-20% of the people in Simmons and Atherton are non-honors. Probably a good percentage of them just want to be in that type of atmosphere.
