Decision regarding Financial Aid?

So just as a thought..

I got requested to provide the information for my parents' company immediately 2 days ago. Now, it wouldn't have seemed that strange to me if it was a week or even 2 weeks ago, but I thought since decisions have already been made, if the request might have been trying to imply that I might have gotten in and they just need to give me the right financial package?

Thoughts?

I think committee ended today, so 2 days ago they still would have been deliberating. And plus, financial aid stuff goes through the financial aid office, not admissions.

Congrats! I think this means you are accepted. Otherwise, they wouldn’t need info for your fin aid package.

On the other hand, I have not gotten any requests from the fin aid office…and I know for certain I did not submit everything needed for Fin Aid. Is this a pretty good indicator of my non-acceptance?

Yeah, this is definitely a really good sign. Good job man!

@foxtails: don’t sweat it man! I’m pretty sure it’s not an indicator for anything. As pixels said, both the email and the hard copy were definitely from the financial office, so I would think it’s most likely pretty unrelated. You probably submitted that the office needed for its decision, so you shouldn’t be too worried!

It may be a good sign, but take note that the two entities are COMPLETELY separate. The finaid committee makes up packages for all students separately from the admissions committee. The accepted students get to see the packages while the denied students’ finaid packages are basically thrown out. It isn’t like the admissions committee sends student info to the finaid committee to make a package for…it is separate.
