Decision Thread with Stats

I just noticed that there wasn’t one thread where people could post their stats, so thought I’d make one for those who are looking at the school for next year and are curious about how past applicants fared. The template below is taken from the MIT regular decision thread… just delete the space in each of the brackets to make it come out correctly.

[] Job/Work Experience: I was paid when I worked with special education kids at my synagogue in 8th-9th grade. Now I volunteer with kids who struggle but do not have special needs.
[] Essays (subject and responses): Why Brandeis essay was pretty strong but kind of generic (used a similar format for most of my schools). Personal essay was about my nutty family and the values I've learned from my grandmother and great-aunts - all Holocaust survivors. Brandeis probably gets many similar essays but the twist was that the essay was kind of humorous. I was told it was well written, but my sources are my mom, brother, uncles, and cousins, so...
[] Teacher Recs: From my AP Biology teacher/Science Olympiad coach who thinks I'm G-d or something, so it was probably really strong.
[] Counselor Rec: Didn't see, counselor doesn't know me very well, so I really have no idea.

[] Job/Work Experience: none
[] Essays (subject and responses): common app: how i was influenced by my brother (who goes to Brandeis, lol), why Brandeis: how Brandeis showed me what college is really about (when i visited my brother), and a supplemental one about teaching ELL kids. That one was my favorite, the why Brandeis was kind of half-assed the day the app was due, and i really like my common app one.

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:**
YAY for everyone who got accepted! =]
Not my first choice, but I might seriously consider it once I hear back from my other schools.

Anyone get rejected? lol

well,
something I've noticed on CC is that people who received rejection/waitlist letters are understandably much more hesitant to post their results and I'm sure seeing the number of "accepted" posts increase is all but encouraging. So I highly doubt that this thread reflects the greater pool of applicants.
