I applied undecided...still upset mannn :(

son also got his waitlist letter yesterday - psychology major

He's not going so there's one less spot on the list

For those waitlisted or rejected, did you visit the school or have an interview off campus? It was my understanding from one of the admissions directors at Bucknell that last year they did not accept students that did not visit the school. I am sure that isn't 100% true; I would think if you met with admission during a school visit or something along those lines that a visit wasn't necessary. I'm just curious how this played out this year.

My daughter got accepted to her ED II school, so she withdrew her Bucknell application. We will never know if she would have been admitted or not. I had assumed so, but after reading the number waitlisted I am beginning to wonder.

My son visited twice. He did not interview, as they insisted that it was not necessary. Now I wonder.

I visited twice: once informally with my dad, and then on an open house day. No interview.

Dont feel bad guys...a waitlist is something

Waitlisted as a Business major... I visited the campus, no interview.

I think i'm putting my name on the waitlist... anyone else??

well after Bucknell rejected me Cornell sent me an acceptance letter so it's Bucknell's *****ing loss

Accepted- Biology Major

SAT: 1320
GPA: UW- 3.91, W- 4.52
Class Rank: 9/240
Somewhat unique ECs in lots of different areas
I had an overnight visit and and an interview there if that counts for anything

I don't think I will be heading there, so one of you waitlists is welcome to take my spot!

Waitlisted - polysci major, no campus visit but I did have an interview that went extremely well.

My policy is I'm not going on any waitlists (I got into 7 places and received my first two and only two waitlist notifications today, from Bucknell and Colgate) because even if they have a spot for me I don't want to go if they don't want me that much.

So CamKerr where will you be off to next year then?

Probably Dickinson in southeastern PA, but I'm not 100% on that.

I thought Bucknell was a good fit but recently I'd been starting to feel like maybe the semi-frat-dominated social life wasn't for me (I'm not a partier really :) )

Really? j/k My son calls them collar poppers or something like that. You would probably like him. Green Day all the way. Hasn't cut his hair since August. Somebody has to give the BUCC a run for their money? ;)

Dickinson is quite nice. My husband almost went there undergrad. Good thing he didn't, or I wouldn't have met him! (We met in college.)

With seven acceptances, it sounds like you have some work to do!
