"Part of a Professional band"--what kind Bothwell? My son's group is looking for a bassist. He likes the music scene at Bucknell.

I am in awe of all of you qualified people who got waitlisted. What the heck was Bucknell thinking?
Anyway, I got accepted yesterday officially, and I'm probably not going to go, so a waitlistee can have my spot.

texastaximom

Kind of a mix between Oasis, the Who, and DMB. I'm the singer and guitarist, but i can get by on bass if we both end up there!

I can't believe so many people were waitlisted. Each one had such awesome stats. There's something wrong with that picture. I was accepted early decision but my stats were no where near as amazing as everyone else's. It seems like the whole process is random.

haha violeta you figured that out just now? Yeah, admissions is often really quixotic and random...

Consider admissions at a $60 scratch off ticket. :(

Bothwell--my son is a freshman there. (I have another that is a senior in hs this year) Let me know if you want to contact him. PM me and I'll give you his school email. The DMB cover they did at Open Mic was a big hit, although they subbed a clarinet for the sax. Gotta do what ya gotta do! He's trying to decide what to do next month...Green Day/My Chemical Romance concert in Philly (or maybe it was Pitt) or Fall Out Boy on campus.

He spent part of his spring break at SXSW up in Austin. I think he's going to add a music minor to his double major, because you get free music lessons in the deal. Anyway, I digress. They would love to pick up a bass!

Which DMB cover did they play?

Grey Street...with clarinet instead of sax!

Oh wow that's cool.. I actually did Crash Into Me as a cover at my high school's battle of the bands- I played guitar and sang, but the violin is my instrument of choice. Does your son's band need a violinist by any chance?

LOL! You never know!

waitlisted, not gonna do the waitlist
