Decision Time - Boston College vs. Villanova vs. SUNY Binghamton

Now that I have heard back from all the schools I’ve applied to, it’s time to make a very tough decision. I’ve narrowed down my list of schools to Boston College, Villanova University, and SUNY Binghamton. I am majoring in business, as I plan to pursue a career in the field one day. However, I am also interested in physics and computer science. Any advice on any of these colleges would be greatly appreciated since my decision is so tough. So far, this is what I have considered about each school…

Boston College
-accepted to the Carroll School of Management
-visited, has a beautiful campus
-definitely has characteristics of what I see as “college”
-still waiting on financial aid package

Villanova University
-accepted to the Villanova School of Business
-did not visit, but I hear it is also very nice
-still waiting on financial aid package

SUNY Binghamton
-accepted to Binghamton’s School of Management
-did not visit
-in state tuition, would cost $23k to attend

I know I should visit Villanova and Bing so that I can get a sense of each campus, and I plan on doing that within the next few weeks. Also, I should be getting a financial aid package within the next week from both BC and Villanova.

Investment banking wise, which school would you say has the best reputation in the business realm? Would it be better for me to go to the college with the best reputation, or should I focus on succeeding at whatever school offers me the most money? Thanks!

Villanova has the best reputation for Investment Banking. I just read an article, and Villanova places really well. Although BC is the toughest to get into by far, I think in terms of business prospects they are similar in standards/quality. Unless money is a HUGE factor, I would strongly recommend either BC or Villanova over Binghamton. I went to see Binghamton and I really hated it. Good Luck

Thank you! I also would prefer to go to Boston College or Villanova over Binghamton, and I do believe those are both possibilities financially. Would you mind posting a link to the article you are talking about? Or telling me where I can find it? I am interested in it because I always heard BC’s Carroll School is more selective than Villanova’s Business School, although I never looked into the investment banking specifically.
