The Office of Admission is in the process of finalizing admission decisions for those who've applied Regular Decision and Deferred Early Action Candidates.

Our plan is to mail decisions later this month. Everyone should hear on or before April 1st. Sorry we can't be more specific than that.

A small group of exceptionally well qualified applicants has been notified early of their pending acceptance. Students who did not receive this letter shouldn't read meaning into that fact.

This will be our last post regarding this topic. Honestly, we're really swamped right now.

We have printed all the decision letters. We will spend next week assembling decisions and preparing the mailings. We anticipate everything will go in the mail Monday the 26th.

Admissions decisions will begin leaving campus tomorrow and continue on Monday and Tuesday. It is our goal to have all decisions in the mail by Wednesday at the latest.

Today, the last big batch of decisions will leave our campus. This year, the Committee on Admission has faced some of the most difficult decisions in it's history. With an additional 4,000 applicants and no additional space in the class, deliberations on who we could admit were challenging.

It is never easy seeing wonderful students that we cannot find a space for in the class. This year, there seemed to be more than ever. Our acceptance rate (now hovering around 40%), would attest to the nature of the year we have experienced. By all measures, this class significantly different than any we?ve constituted in recent years.

Everyone should have a decision in hand by week?s end. There may be some additional decisions that flow out in the coming weeks (those in our HEOP population for example or those with late completing applications).

To those who connect via this forum, I hope our presence here has been helpful the past months. While our staff couldn?t monitor all your questions, we?ve tried to chime in where we could.

Congratulations to all those accepted to the class of 2011.

Fordham Admissions: When will admitted Early Action students find out if they are to receive any scholarship awards in addition to what they were awarded with the EA acceptance letter? This information will be needed to come to a final decision as to where to attend. Thank you!
