Decision... UIUC or IUBloomington?

Hi, I have a tough decision for college. I've been accepted to UIUC and IUBloomington's business schools. Which school would be better to go to?

I got a scholarship from IUBloomington, which would make the tuition difference between the two colleges even greater. But UIUC's accounting program just seems too good to miss out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm...personally, I think that IU has a nicer campus and seems to be in a better location (although neither location is great), and it has a great overall business program. I know that UIUC is great in accounting, but if you aren't really very attracted to the school otherwise, I really don't think that giving up that Accounting program is a very big deal, especially since IU is less expensive. I don't know specifically for accounting, but I would think (at least, my MBA mother tells me) that an MBA is likely to be in your future, so I don't know how much you need to stress about your undergrad degree/program--I am sure that you will find many, many employers happy to hire an IU grad. So, I would go for IU unless UIUC has some huge attraction for you (which is fine!).

I don't think the small difference in the accting programs means much as both are heavily recruited and grads will end up at the same firms making the same $$$$. I think Bloomington is a bit nicer. The only reason to pick UI would be for engineering which Ind does not offer.

just have a question...

what is better? IU Kelley B school or U Mich LSA (econ)?

to OP--I think both are good schools and comparable in many ways. I'd suggest that you make the $$$ differences weigh heavily in your decision... otherwise, there's not enough to tip the scales one way or another...

Definitely Indiana. Great business program, spectacular looking campus, good college town, the girls are extremely hot, and there's tons of options in terms of nightlife.
