woah, everyone needs to take a chillpill...seriously. right now. go to your medicine cabinet and find a chillpill and take it.

My sister is an athlete, so she found out earlier than everyone else. I am aware that Ivy league schools do not make decisions this early, for I myself have applied to brown. Do not accuse me of lying or being confused. I'm not an idiot.

And what about the help? does anyone want to help a kid out who is only trying to get advice for his sister?

Hahah dude we Columbia kids on this thread seriously need to Chill...

I guess she can keep contact with the admission officer and try to update on ec's and send in new grades and rec's. but i think it really early to hear from columbia.

Flame.

If not flame, send a letter expressing continues interest, list any updated accomplishments, send the latest grades (3rd quarter if your school has a 4 marking periods), etc. Maybe 1 additional rec. But that's about it.

Beyond that, start considering other schools.

Make a big sign expressing your interest for Columbia and camp out in front of the admissions office. The admissions committee will see when they walk in and out of the building. Crazy idea, but that might work.

Wow, I was actually correct about the likely waitlist letter.

So what does the letter actually say? Can you type it up?

she is probably an recruited athlete, my friend was getting recruited by darthmouth for baseball, they even flew up him there to visit the campus, and he found out that he didn't in, and he found out a couple weeks ago, recruited athletes find out earlier than everyone else, but to play on their team they have to get into the school first on their own
