What do you think of my chances?

Most people from my school with similar grades/sat scores get deferred...

Hi torbalds,

I'm not sure when your decision will come in.

But from your stats, I see you as an average applicant.

Don't worry about the people from your school

good luck!

I think you got a decent chance. Someone i know got in OSS with a 3.1 gpa and 32 ACT.

wolverine access showed my application date as nov 27 too, but i got in 3 weeks later.

i think you have an ok chance of getting in.

i'd guess defer. 3.1/32 admittance is extremely rare, Mich loves GPA and yours is pretty low.. gl though

thanks for the responses! anyone else?? i still havn't gotten a decision. I go to a top public school in CT, its very competitive.

I would say defer, your gpa is low, sat is good, (though there should be a good emphasis on crit read/ math I believe). If you had 7+ AP courses or a couple college level courses, and your ECs were as "time consuming" as you say, perhaps you'll get in.

If you can, convert that gpa to the UM gpa, it should be soph +junior year, (4=A+/A-)(3=(B+/B-)... your gpa can totally change from that conversion. I know mine did...

oh yeah, I actually handed my application in the day that you did and I got my decision last thursday so hopefully you'll be getting your decision soon
