Decisions 09?

I just logged on to MyIthaca and for the longest time it had said that they had yet to receive my audition in the app checklist section and then on the homepage it said that the major I applied for was musical theatre BFA. However, now it says that they’ve received my audition and the major I applied for was acting BFA. Does this mean that I’m accepted for acting BFA (which makes sense because Ithaca was my worst vocal audition by far)?
Has anyone else heard anything yet? (just btw, I auditioned January 24th)

I know someone who was accepted and asked them - they said it came in a large white envelope and the My Ithaca says accepted in to BFA MT. Audition was at LA Unifieds.

Epoknee, I think you probably were accepted for the acting BFA. But just to be sure, call the admissions office and ask. A big envelope should be arriving shortly if you were, in fact, accepted.

yep you're right =] I got a big envelope today that said "something BIG is about to happen" on the front (haha) that said I was accepted for Acting BFA, along with a pretty generous merit scholarship so I'm a happy camper =] Thanks for your help! Best of luck to anyone still waiting to hear.

Congrats to you!

thanks so much!

Hey, everybody! I was sad because Ithaca's the only school I've been accepted to so far that doesn't have a facebook group. So, I made one! Come join!

Josh...I just joined

has anyone in south florida heard anything?

I applied to Ithacas BFA Acting program and I have yet to hear back. Is anyone else still waiting?

I know people still waiting.

OK - here is a weird one . . . . My D auditioned at Ithaca at LA unifieds. She applied to BFA Acting (and that has been what has been listed as her "major" on My Ithaca all along). At the audition, she asked if she could also audition for MT and they allowed her to sing. This week, her application status was updated -- audition needed was moved over to the received column -- and on her home page, her major changed from BFA Acting to BFA Musical Theatre. Obviously, still haven't gotten a letter . . . . but don't know if this is "significant". Any thoughts?

It sounds significant to me. My D auditioned for MT in Chicago, but was accepted for BFA Acting, and a change was made by the college on My Ithaca before we got the actual letter from Ithaca.

How long did it take to get the letter after the change was made on the website?

I think it was about a week or so.

My D's audition moved to the received column 2 weeks ago and she hasn't heard anything yet.

I know that we are coming down to the end of the wait here, but the closer we get to April, the harder the wait seems to be. D has still not heard anything from 7 of her schools! I always viewed myself as being a reasonably patient person . . . but I was WRONG! It seems as if Ithaca must be notifying people that are "definites" -- definitely yes or definitely no?? So I am going to take that as "no news is good news" at least for now.

A small envelope has arrived today so I will have to assume it is a rejection. D will be disappointed. This will be number three. Still waiting to hear from five schools.

I don't want to falsely get your hopes up but when my D was accepted to Ithaca it was in a small envelope. It ain't over til ya read the letter.

That is good to know. I was going by what the previous posters said about "big envelopes". But thank you...:)
