Oh my gosh, congratulations to you and your daughter, Monkey13! so excited for her!

Monkey13: A big congrats to your daughter! That is fantastic!

I recall my D’s first acceptance was to Ithaca’s program and it was by snail mail but it was just a thin regular size envelope and so there is no pattern to this madness.

I bet you and your D are flying high. Yay!

Congrats monkey13 – how exciting!

YAY Monkey! Congratulations to your daughter.
Glad to see that they are getting acceptances out early this year.
I know of another Acting acceptance yesterday from the 1/19 audition as well.

Thank you all! We are in shock. We were in such shock I didn’t even notice the scholarship money that came with it! So, so happy. Yes, Ithaca is one of her top choices. She just feels something when she is on that campus. We have been there twice, and both times she was reluctant to leave. She likened it to knowing that you have the perfect wedding dress on “Say Yes to the Dress.” She still wants to do her remaining three auditions, though, in case she falls in love with one of those schools.

Hang in there, everybody! We can do this!!!

Monkey13, Congrats to you and your daughter!!! So happy for you both! :)

Couldn’t happen to a nicer mom and kid :)

Just got my acceptance for Musical Theatre!!! :)

Congratulations to all! How very exciting!

Congrats monkey13!!

Boy, if there is one thing that is consistent, it is how consistent all of this is! My son auditioned on Jan 19 as well…about 10 days later his myIthaca major changed, and in a few days he receuved a snail mail letter saying he had not been accepted for MT but was for BFA acting. And…he did NOT check the box to indicate he was interested in acting. Plus I had already figured he wasn’t in because I kind of thought good news came in a phone call based on what the students who talked to us had said. Go figure…

congrats to Monkey 13 and your D and also to KRIMT199

We’re on pins and needles about Ithaca. My D auditioned MT in December, and she moved over to the “What We Have Received” side within a couple of weeks (maybe less, maybe more), and then . . . well, we’ve been waiting since then. I know that no news can be good news (she’s still in the mix), and I know that they’ll be notifying a lot of people in early March – but that doesn’t keep us from checking the website and the snail mailbox every day!

Good luck to all!

My sons audition from the Chicago unifieds moved over to “what we have” today.
I’m wondering if this happened for everyone at unifieds or if it still is random.
Also, monkey, or anyone else already accepted for MT, does your child’s profile on MY ITHACA
Say accepted or does it still say applied? Ithaca is at the top of my sons list so of course I’m over analyzing everything in the hopes that an acceptance is on the way:)

MY ITHACA said “accepted” about the same time the mail arrived.

Md311mt-My D auditioned at Unifieds in Chicago and audition is still under the what we need title…so guessing it’s still random.

When you get accepted, your status says “accepted.” And you get a yellow stripe across the bottom of your picture. :)

md311mt, when the “audition” moves over from “what we still need” to “what we have,” it means the Department of Theater has made a decision on your child, and it is sent over to the Admissions office. At least that’s what we were told. But that decision could be a yes or a no. I think it’s impossible to decipher…it looks like there were kids last year whose audition didn’t move over until mid-March and they got in. So don’t stress too much. Good luck to all!

Monkey13 one last thing. Do you recall how long it took after the audition moved until your Ds status changed? Thanks for everyone’s responses. I will stop obsessing now!

I just received a letter of rejection from Ithaca’s MT program. Oh well! I knew I probably wasn’t going to get in because my video audition was low quality. I’m thankful for the answer; I am one step closer to making a final decision congratulations to the rest of you!

Reviewed this thread and found my answer.
Thanks!

md311mt- I’m not sure how predictable this all is. My son’s audition moved to the “What We Have Column” nearly 2 weeks ago, and we still have heard nothing…
