Decisions 2009

Has anyone else gotten a letter yet?

I got my acceptance letter yesterday! I’m pretty sure it’s where I’m going!

Everyone else post their results!

I got in too!! I am so excited!

How long ago did you audition? How fast do you think the letter comes?

I auditioned less than 2 weeks ago at Chicago Unifieds, which is why I was surprised letters were sent so early!

DancingDG- is Roosevelt/CCPA your first choice?

They are releasing letters early this year so they can start making offers. They only sent letters to a certain percentage this early, so if you haven't heard don't panic.

Congrats to you both!
If you have any questions about the school or program, hit me up here or on Facebook. I'd love to talk to you!

oh no i just auditioned yesterday at the school and was just curious as to how early they were sending them out...i know the person i interviewed with told me they were giving them out earlier!

Hello! I auditioned on Feb. 1 (dance audition) and Feb. 2 (vocal and acting audition) and I got my letter Feb. 14th.

LizMT - Do you know, have they sent out any Acting BFA offers from the Chicago Unified weekend yet? thanks!

oh.. by the way, I've been meaning to thank you for something else. Because of your intelligent comments and after a full day visit in the theatre classes last spring, my daughter decided Cal State Fullerton definitely wasn't for her. She took a gap year instead and it's made a world of difference. She was went to auditions this year much more prepared and confident. She loved Chicago and Roosevelt and the supportive atmosphere. I know she has her fingers crossed. :-)

SarasMom - I actually have no idea. I know they sent out a very small percentage of acceptances so far, but I don't know if that includes MT and Acting. Good luck! The waiting is the worst part!

I'm glad you found those comments helpful and I am so glad your daughter made a good decision for herself. Those posts on Fullerton were made exactly for that reason, so that people could get a balanced perspective and I am glad you guys took the time to visit the school too.

Best of luck!

Thank you!
oh yes, the waiting is challenging, so in the meantime I'll pass on the good wishes. ;-)

Ok so I'm really nervous because this is the school that I really want to go to. I called the admissions office and I asked them if everything was completed, and they said yes and that I should be finding out within this week. I auditioned in Chicago for Unifieds, I don't know what this means, but I'm really nervous. Has everyone already been accepted? Should I be worried?

and have any rejection letters come out yet?

To SarasMom, my friend got her BFA Acting acceptance letter Feb. 14. Just to answer your question if any Acting offers went out.

Thanks for the info he-art4276. Guess we'll keep waiting. :-)

The last set of auditions are this weekend. So, no they have not already accepted everyone.

Does any one agree on the fact that waiting is terrible?

its dreadful! im out of town so i have to wait a whole week to get back to my mailbox!!!!

That's always the worse thing ever! Not being able to be there when the mail comes...see right now I don't care I just want to know if I've been accepted or rejected =[

Our son was accepted to CCPA last year, registered and was assigned a roomate when he came off the waitlist of his first choice (overseas). Once he got his acceptance (early from CCPA, about two weeks after his unified audition) he went to Chicago and spent a day going to freshman acting classes (which the school arranged) once he did that, he was sold. Roosevelt/CCPA is a very good program and if they were on the top of your list; visit. You won't be disapointed.

I'm worried and don't know what to think, I'm trying to put it out of my mind but when I called Roosevelt last week she told me I should be finding out this week, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, any words of advice?
