Decisions Are Finished

My teacher wanted to call Penn today to make one last pitch for me in the admissions process. When he called he was told that decisions had already been made.

I guess now they’re just finishing up financial aid.

Good luck to everyone. Our fates have been sealed. We just don’t know what they are yet…

i am glad i am not waiting for decisions! Good Lujck to the rest!

wow!!! scary.

Yes! They must have had their decisions likely by last week. I guess they probably use these remaining days to post these results on line, who's got in and who hasn't, grants info etc .........and perhaps to do a quick quality control of their data entry before publishing it on line for everyone to see.

do they show fin aid info online? or is it just mailed to u

Your aid package is available immediately online after your decision is posted. There should be a direct link within your decision if you are accepted.

thanks....

wow this is way too real for me... lol

cant wait... oh boy

deferred candidate here... hopefully theyll be nice and accept me

Wow, pretty scary here. Thursday can't come soon enough...

I got a letter from FinAid to fax some more information, What does it mean??? The letter was dated the 22nd?

omg jesus beseesus christ (i can say this, im hindu :) )! decisions are so close. deferred candidate here, just like crouton, but from SEAS, probably unlike the majority of deferred candidates (most of you guys are wharton right? i know venus is). well, all i can do at this point is wish you all the best of luck, from the bottom of my heart :) just know that you all are great candidates, and try not to ever lose faith and confidence in yourselves. i really believe penn is for a lot of you, so keep your heads high. this is CC, the best of the best after all! woo guys gluck ;)

It sucks being deferred b/c more than likely we won't make it but we are the ones who want it most! I've been feeling like this since october!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!

Well, amazon, you have a greater chance than other RD applicants, so cut yourself a little slack. :)

I was deferred from Princeton, so I know what you feel like.

heh dont worry amazon, i think you'll be fine :) just stay confident, because whether or not you believe this, i think deferral is just an extension of time that penn gives certain applicants to show them what they are truly made of. i think if you showed interest between ED anr RD rounds, and sent them a good midyear, you'll be fine :)

i was deferred ed and im starting to go crazy. i havent felt this way since december.

It honestly doesn't matter, losing sleep and "going crazy" that is. Your fate is sealed inside of a (big or little) envelope and there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. Just relax and enjoy yourself, and when decision day rolls around come to terms with the fact that you might have been rejected and rejoice if you are accepted. In the end its the person that influences success, not the university that person attends.

Good Luck!

Just as a general musing...is it considered "easier" to be accepted at the CAS (as opposed to like, Wharton)?

Yes. Occasionally Penn tries to say that it is not but this is not true. Every school at Penn is extremely difficult to gain acceptence to, but Wharton stands at the top of the pack in terms of compettitiveness, and the Huntsman Program within the Wharton school is one of the single most compettitive programs, business or otherwise, within the entire Ivy League.
