DS accepted to ChemE Honors with $10000 scholarship. This at least puts it in range with Pitt

Islandgal : Congrats on your honors acceptance and very nice scholarship as well. UD does have one of the top Chem Engineering Programs in the country. Its Graduate Chem Engineering Program is ranked 10th in the nation (above all Ivy League Programs except Princeton). I’m sure this ranking filters down to the undergraduate program as the faculty is essentially the same and opportunities for research involvement is extensive. An Honors Degree in Chem Engineering from UD will get you into any (and I mean any) Chem Engineering Graduate Program in the country. Best wishes in making your decision.

Congrats as well to all those accepted thus far and there are many more to come.

My daughter got in and got a scholarship but I can’t find where it lists the program she got into and/or whether or not she got honors?

Jul - same here. My DD got in w merit, but I do not see anything about honors, so i guess not? NO matter, but just curious.

It should say on the Congrats page is she got into honors. My sons page still says Chemical Engineering- so i guess that is what he got into!!

My D is in but second choice of Major. No money but didn’t expect any (lol). Any idea how hard to switch to “undeclared”? Second choice was elementary education and she has reconsidered.

Bill124: Should be no problem switching to “Undeclared”. Just contact the admissions office - but you might want to wait a few days to do this as it is extremely hectic there right now, as you can imagine. I have known several students that did this in the past and they had no problem at all in switching.

Accepted Fashion Merchandising ! No honors/scholarships but wasnt expecting any… beyond happy to get in, its been my #1 since sophmore year. Deposit will be in tomorrow

Just wondering if anyone knows if all decisions go out together? No change on blue hen- but my daughters nervous because some of her classmates have heard. Should we be checking it all through the day or is it updated once per day? This waiting is killing us!!!

Same situation with my daughter Marshalls44. The wait is a killer. Not feeling very optimistic myself given that the My Blue Hen doesn’t say anything. I’m wondering if it actually indicates that you’ve been declined, just as it does when you’ve been accepted. If that’s the case, then maybe there is still some hope that the website hasn’t been updated as of yet.

Dadager- yes we are feeling a little deflated here, and both of us are checking the website constantly- not knowing if they update it often or once a day.

Yes Marshalls44, it can be trying to say the least. I was hoping that someone with first hand knowledge might speak up here and let us know if the website also shows a declined status. If so, at least we’d then have hope that it’s only an update issue at this point. Either way good luck to you.

My son was accepted and he is not in the honors group. He applied undecided. We never received the official letter, but all the information (including scholarship) was online this morning.

I did not apply to the Honors College and my acceptance is on my blue hen portal!! I can see my merit scholarship as well :)

Congrats to everyone also accepted!!

Anyone accepted or rejected that is not honors and will most likely not receive $?

I will make my son check when he gets home today. He would not get merit aid nor did he apply to honors.

Has anyone on this board been declined for admission and had that status show up directly on My Blue Hen? Just wondering if they only change the website for accepted students, and if the declined students simply must wait for their letters. Thanks.

My daughter was accepted-not honors and no merit $ expected. For reference: GPA 91% UW, SAT 1190/1780. Well regarded HS in NY. Several honors classes but no AP’s until this year–taking 2. She is thrilled as this is her top choice school!!
Her decision is posted on My Blue Hen.

And my d was accepted no honors, no money (aid or scholarship) and second choice major.

I was accepted. No honors and no merit money. GPA: 3.0 , ACT: 34 , Well Regarded HS in NY , 2 APs this year.
