Decisions are online

anyone else still have ready for review?

I do! I am applying as a canadian citizen living outside Canada and the US (Dominican Republic). Does McGill choose files randomly to be reviewed, or is it depending on grades or country of residence?

I have no clue, I am a Canadian citizen living in Jamaica too. (doing IB, predicted 39/40)

My daughter just heard this morning that she has been “admitted pending final results” to the Arts program, i.e.,she has to graduate from high school and not have a serious meltdown in the process. To the extent that it gives anyone any guidance, her SAT I score was 2120 (including 800 reading comp), three SAT II scores of 720+, ACT score of 31 (don’t know breakdown) four AP scores of 5, and one AP score of 4. Weighted GPA of +/- 4.35; raw GPA of +/- 3.85 (lots of AP and Honors courses).

Her application was “further review required” until she was able to submit her Fall 2012 grades. Once that was done, she received notification within about 36 hours.

McG is her first choice, and she is over the moon with joy. She also has applied to Penn, Northwestern, Beloit, Tufts and Hopkins.

Good luck to all the applicants.

Follow up to above. She attends a private school in Central Maryland which has been very proactive in preparing its students for the college application process.

Got accepted yesterday!! Uploaded my midyear report on Monday morning and then my status went to “admitted pending final results!” Also received an entrance scholarship of $3000

Has anyone gotten in without uploading your midyear transcripts yet? i have my transcript but as my grades dropped this semester due to a change in schools, i would rather wait as long as possible to upload them, as my i would be more likely to be accepted if my application was reviewed without them. Am i supposed to upload them as soon as i have them available?

Congrats, ILoveToLaugh!

I got the $3000 one-time entrance scholarship. I’m still waiting on the major entrance scholarship.

mine says “ready for review”. I submitted my application on 8th jan. so nervous.

RDP for two weeks now…

To the ones who’ve got accepted, after how long did you receive a decision about entrance and major renewable scholarships? Also, how and when were you notified?

oh and congratulations! I got accepted yesterday :D

From [McGill Undergraduate Scholarships for Prospective Students | Scholarships and Student Aid - McGill University](http://www.mcgill.ca/studentaid/scholarships/prospective)
“Students who apply for, but do not receive, a major scholarship will automatically be considered for a one-year scholarship.”

I don’t think they give both one-year and major scholarships together.

Congratulations to everyone who’s been accepted! Mine still says “Further Review Required” and they’re waiting for my Mid-Year grades. All of you said that you uploaded your own report…my school didn’t give me mine. Are we supposed to upload it ourselves or can we leave it to our high schools?

Hey! Congratulations to everyone that got an acceptance already!

I’m a High School Senior studying in an American curriculum school in Saudi Arabia. I was wondering if anyone could chance me for getting into the undergraduate electrical engineering program at McGill. Here are my credentials:

Unweighted GPA: 3.85
Weighted GPA: 4.3

SAT I: 800 Math, 670 C.R, 710 W (2180)
SAT II’s: Math 1 (740), Math 2(720), Physics (690), Chemistry (700), Biology M (730)
TOEFL: 114

AP Biology: 5
AP Language & Composition: 4
Taking AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science, and AP Chemistry examinations at the end of the year.
*Did NOT take AP Physics (taking regular Physics this year), so this could majorly effect my admission chances. Although, I did study for the physics SAT II and got 690. *

NOTE: I have a lot of E.Cs, including Habitat for Humanity Service Trip, Habitat club Treasurer, Debate Club V.P of Education, Student Council President (Grade 9), Student Council 11th Grade Representative, Model United Nations delegate, School Newspaper Writer (Grade 9, 11), National Honors Society Member (NHS), Basketball JV/V Team, Volleyball JV.

If it helps, I am a Canadian citizen and am applying all over Canada, but I really want to be able to have the change to go to McGill.

Much appreciated.

@manank my major entrance scholarship application is currently under review but I have already been offered the one-time scholarship.

Hey kartof, I got a $3000 major renewable scholarship a day after I received my decision. Nothing about the one time scholarship yet, though >_<

My daughter posted her 1st semester grades on February 9th, and was accepted today! For more than a month, her applicant page had said “further review required”. Today it changed to “admitted pending final results”. She never saw a “decision pending” stage.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been on further review required for a week and yesterday i finally managed to upload my mid yr report, certs etc. by when do you think i’ll get a response. ?

Today I checked Minerva and I saw that under My Student Aid on top, it said Not Awarded for Major Renewable Entrance Scholarship. However, when I checked below, it said Major Renewable Entrance Scholarship (Excellence) offered for $5000, stated twice in the offers. What does this mean? Was I offered $10,000 a year, $5,000 a year, or nothing at all?
Thank you.
