Decisions are up

instate is easier, but you have some great stats...congrats!

im moving to north carolina when im older so my kids can go to unc with relative ease... ahh

disregard this post

ACCEPTED. OOS from California, competitive public high school.
GPA: 3.95UW, 4.3Wt
SAT: 730V, 790M, 620W
EC: not too much.

any OOS'ers get accepted with less than 1500 SAT? (Old)

Just wondering, doesn't seem like it.

Unless you are African American or Hispanic, then a 1200 will suffice.

I was waitlisted OOS with only an 1130 SAT. My aunt is a professor at UNC and I do alotta of EC's.. African American/Latina female.. Not to mention my essay was pretty good too. I'm HOPING to be accepted.I was really expecting to be rejected; so now that i'm on a waiting list I almost feel like I may have a slight chance. We'll see. I'll drop everything and anything to be a Tarheel.

posting for my S---

SAT (new) 2080
SAT (old) 1420
ACT 33 (36 math)
GPA 4.56w class rank-3; small private high school
strong EC's including soccer-club and high school--captain and all-star team selection; math awards; chapel choir; concert band, etc.

thankful to be accepted especially considering chances for OOS candidates

Marcc...

My oos daughter was accepted with less than 1500...she has only 1470 (CR750 M720 W760). But she is Hispanic so I guess that let's her off the hook?

[I would like to think it was NMF, national awards and killer essays that got her in, not the fact that she is Hispanic.]

Marcc:

Asian OOS likely admit here with a 1450 m+v (from the new sat)

Could people who are instate post their stats, rejected or accepted? Id love to see where i stand

Idmom,

Although URM status is definitely helpful in admissions, your daughter would have certainly been accepted even if she was not Hispanic.

Haha.

-Mario Vaz

um whats oos? and i got in

oos=out of state

OOS NY waitlisted. Also flattered I didn't get rejected, considering i didn't reinvent the napkin, play drums with my butt, or win a Merit.

hahahaha word

OOS accepted New Jersey

oooohhhh im out of state :)

drop65: I'm an Asian OOS from NJ with a 1530 SAT (790 M + 740 V; 2230 total) and I got waitlisted. I guess my GPA killed me (3.631 unweighted in a tough magnet high school).

Waitlisted OOS :)
