The first wave of RD decisions have been posted online!

has anyone heard yet from the first posting on feb 29? I just noticed tonight that it says March 14 next to "appplication type". I'm wondering if that was always there. Anyways, it seems that I have to wait another 2 weeks. That stinks!

Mine says March 14 next to application type, too....so I guess we have to wait. Anyone know how they're deciding who gets their decision when?

My daughter is applying to another school where they also send notifications out in two batches, but not online. Notifications are only done through the mail. That school told me today that my daughter is in the second batch that will go out in mid March, and it was based on when the application was received. I was talking to the actual admissions officer and that is all she told me. I wonder if that's a bad sign???

My daughter found out she was accepted today. Good luck to all who are still waiting though.

I was accepted. :)

Accepted as well. Good luck to everyone that finds out March 14th!

mine also says march 14th. im very nervous now, because i was in the last batch of decisions at fordham and got rejected :( however, i didnt apply to UVM until early january so i'm thinking that may be why i'm in the 2nd batch? for those who are still waiting : do you have good SATs and grades? I'm just wondering if i'm in good company with these 2nd batchers hah

for all those who heard, when did you get your app in? Was is it really early?

Daughter submitted her Common App to Vermont on 12/14.

also...stats for those accepted? i'd really appreciate it, thanks :)

Jerseygirl221, now I'm all nervous about this second batch thing. Do you really think they might put the rejections in that group? I didn't even think that until you wrote your comment. Hopefully, this is not the case. My daughter sent the common app to UVM on Jan 3rd.

I'm really not sure. The letter they sent us through email said it was based purely on when they reviewed your application, but with colleges you really never know! I became scared when a girl from my school with low SATs (1600's) also told me she was in the 2nd round of decisions, but she did not pay her app fee until very late (mid january). I'm just a wreck because I've only gotten into two schools so far, UAlbany and Drexel, and I have no desire what so ever to attend either of those after visiting. UVM, on the other hand, is a perfect match for me and I will be crushed if I get rejected =/ It's nervewracking to wait another two whole weeks, when I spent the past two counting down the seconds til today!

I got in, yay!

my stats:
sat: 700m, 640r, 690w
gpa: 4.6
class rank 2/256
OOS

i'm happy, i love vermont and burlington!

good luck to those who are waiting, and DO NOT think you are rejected, the email said that they made the decisions based on when apps were turned in. i truned mine in around christmas.

jerseygirl221, when did you send your app through? Let's be positive and not read so much into this. I know waiting another 2 weeks is PAINFUL:(

Ok i just checked on the common app and i sent it in earlier than i thought, december 23. but i didn't pay my app fee until the 2nd of january..and my mid year grades weren't sent til about three week ago from my school because our semester didn't end til the end of january, so i'm thinking that might have something to do with it as well, and why the other people from my school are also in the march 14th batch.

I also checked about my mid year grades, and they weren't sent until around Feb 20. That's kinda late, so I'm feeling a little better now.

I applied right near the deadline; I think my app was submitted Jan. 11 or so.

Do admitted applicants even need to send them in?

ehh just send them, cant hurt.
