The application status website now says "we will notify you when a decision has been made". Does anyone know how Carleton's admissions are communicated?

By snail mail.

Thanks, Bingle. That info will help us keep our S from hitting refresh every 2 mins on the Carleton app status website in mid-December. Although, instead he’ll probably stalk our mail carrier. :)

Please note it takes 3 days for mail from Carleton to get to Houston. May just be 2 days if you’re in north Texas.

They’re by snail mail. DON’T panic if you don’t get yours yet when other people have - it doesn’t mean anything; it’s just that the post is slow. I got mine a few days after everyone on CC last year had gotten theirs, and I was worried that they mailed out acceptances first, but they’re in no particular order.

Aww. I’m international - on average, it takes about a week for snail mail to reach me. :(

International kids will get their acceptance letters by FedEx.

I’m from Hong Kong and I was incredibly nervous last year because everyone else on CC has been receiving their letters. But all went well, so don’t panic if you don’t get it along with all the other domestic kids.

eyevand - that’s really great to hear! Thanks!
