<p>Good luck everybody! I’m so excited for all of you to reach this point in your senior year and I can’t wait to hear about all the acceptances.</p>
<p>I did just want to share with you guys, though, that if tonight doesn’t go as you might hope it will, don’t panic! If you don’t get into your first choice school, that’s often a blessing in disguise! I didn’t get into my first choice (Harvard - my father went there and I really wanted to follow in his footsteps)…or my second choice (Georgetown - would have liked being in DC)…or my third choice, either! (Penn). And I ended up at Davidson for Decision Davidson, the admitted students’ weekend and from the minute I stepped on campus I knew it was the place for me. In every way, Davidson was the outlier on my list…and yet it was the perfect match. I look back on the spring of my senior year, and all I can think is: why did I ever think those other schools would have been good for me?
So, don’t be discouraged if tonight doesn’t go well. It’s a hard school to get into, and not getting in is not a reflection on you or your intelligence. Most people who apply to Davidson could probably do well here. Most of the time, it’s chance, either way.</p>
<p>All that said, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! I’m SO excited for all of you and I hope you go to the best school for YOU! :)</p>

<p>Wow…Davidson’s admissions committee must have been looking at the application skewed
because UVA & UNC-CH (OOS) are all acceptances. What’s up with that? Not too disappointed though cause they weren’t a good fit anyway.</p>
